I have found the ideal computer for running FSX. See here. Not sure about the cost though. :D

Not sure NZ's power generation facilities will be able to keep up with the 3.9 Megawatts of power required to run it either! :ph43r: <_<

Sure beats my first computer,* price would've been equivalent.
Not for FSX unfortunately...

*Just kidding...

How about this the Intel Skulltrail motherboard. This will one day be the optimum setup for next generation sims and they will blow away the consoles no problem. Currently such a system costs over $8000NZ for optimum setup.
It uses 2 QX CPUs, can hold 16GB of FBDIMM ram, 2x 88Ultra graphics cards(can use either ATI or Nvidia SLi). Give it a few years and the price will come down.
$1032 each for the m/board

I'd like to meet the person who's responsible for naming the Intel product line.
Some have real punch: Prescott!
Others...Skulltrail. :ph43r:
And then there's Yamhill, among many others
I think s/he comes from a distant galaxy...

At least it beats the old 8086 for a name or the 486. :D BTW at least these next generation PCs will blow away those consoles the only problem is software as theres nothing out there that could use such a PC to its full potential.
