I installed Shockwave's 3DLights package..
Why? Because it is now available for FSX AND FS9 of course!
There's life in the old sim yet, these in FS9:

On the Shockwave Forum page, there are .cfg entries for many addon a/c...WOP P-51 ALPHA Harvard. Carenado etc

Nightshots are always difficult, however the lights move well in the sim.

Over 40 new lighting effects including strobes, beacons, navigation, and runway lights
Fully-realized 3D landing lights actually cast light into space
Microsoft Acceleration Expansion pack supported
Vintage, halogen, and modern xenon lights included
Installs into all Twenty-four Microsoft FSX aircraft
Entire new effects suite results in stunningly realistic night time environment

Does it include effects for Runway lights? I'd be keen to see some more pics; it looks like a good package.

OK a few more shots - when last did you fly a stock MS aircraft :o
They've been brightened and contrasted otherwise you wouldn't see 'em

Can't remember what runway lighting should look like in FS9 - I haven't used stock textures, ever...

Looks really good, I find great lighting really adds to the atmosphere of flight sims.

Top stuff, although I don't fly enough at night to justify me buy this package. Look forward to more screenshots featuring these lights in your future posts!

Charl does this product effect the frame rates much? I'm interested in purchasing this but I'm already limited by frame rates.

Yes it does for me. -10fps at least, BUT it's beautiful. Typical quality vs. performance issue again... sad.gif
