Well i was 100% sure where to post this topic so here it is ,,last night HCP was sharing ideas about a heli collective ,here he is talking about what joysticks to pull apart and im looking around at my own thinking about it abit more ,when he sends me this link http://forums.frugalsworld.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=123794
to my surprise the link had some photos of most of my joysticks with mods done to them  that looks cool and i have those so i gave it ago this morning .

here are some photos of how its going just gotta wait for the drill to recharge and ill hopefully be able to fit in the buttons

theres not much left to do ,i even added a easy removable collective arm not just two screws like in the link ,plus i mounted it around the opposite way to fit it on the side table a bit better

Parts were a vacuum steel hose end and a bike lock bracket ,also a bit of foam from the misses trainer ,ah it just sits there doing nothing anyway aye :D

thanks for the link HCP

Oh yeah you better believe it ,but with the ezy detach system the bike lock company designed i am able to remove it flick it around and back to fix wing ,i had to make it that way as it all has to fit in my suit case ,thats everything, apart from the chair and desk ofcourse ..

the mod has really helped alot with landing just the extra movement in the throttle control and the right way has helped me ,,since getting the saitek rudder pedals ,the whole way i fly has changed ive like a big L plate for the sim now when i used to think i could fly pretty well .taking the twist out of the joystick and reversing the collective has been the hardest thing to get use to ,but this mod helps heaps

L plate rotor pilot

Mmmm thinks I. I might just have to play with adapting my X45.

I'm guessing you had to bolt the base down?

A pilot friend of mine reckons he can get me some old real world helo controls and I know some guys over at Hovercontrol have adapted these for the sim but the wiring would be pretty complex I'm picking.

This looks a lot easier. What are the keypads on collective worth and how did you attach it?
