Hi there, I would like to set up some A.I traffic for my world tour just to juice things up a bit, but as i have never done this before i thought i might need a bit of help.

I run FSX and have read about 'TTOOLS' being a good management program but i doubt whether it may run with FSX.

Do any of you have a particular program that you use that is freeware for FSX.

All suggestions welcome.

Traffic Tools may work, have you tried Traffic Toools? Its not that good to use, but I don't think there is anything else for what you need.

Thanks
James

Traffic Toolbox is pretty straightforward to use. It's part of the SDK, so you need the Deluxe version of FSX.

TTOOLS works fine in fsx. All you need to do is find a tutorial on how to write ai flight plans. I lost the one i found but will try to find it

You should be aware though that TTools generates FS9 flight plans, and while they might work in FSX, the day of the week will be wrong, and they won't coexist with FSX format flight plans. You should NEVER mix the two.

There are tools you can download from Avsim etc to convert TTools plans to FSX.

Hi there everyone! how is your Thursday? all good i hope.
First of all i would like to say thanks to everyone for helping me out over the last 2 months.
I have asked so many newbie questions you must be getting tired of it.

On the goodside my navigation and radio are improving quickly, I finally got most of my instruments sussed out in my Cessna. Yes, DME, VOR and map reading are finally my friends.

i have found that with flight simming its all very technical yet once it is understood, it's simple! but then again that is probably the general rule in life. anyway yabba yabba yabba

My next step is to get AI planes up and running for my world trip. I have FSX standard and would like to know 3 things.

1. Where is a good site for explaining AI installing?
2. Is therea good site for FSX planes or do most FS9 AI planes work fine.
3.Where is a good site for explaining what its all about?

I am suprised at the high level of knowledge within our members.

Good place to start is the Project AI Forums.
AI is an entire subculture within flightsim.
There are various freeware offerings, PAI, Evolve, World of AI etc.
Installation varies from finicky to downright clunky, as they are designed for FS9 and have to be transferred into FSX.

If it's all too much, commercial packages exist for FSX now, trawl SimMarket etc.
