vANZ only for me.
VPA disowned me after a period of inactivity (entirely my own fault) - I could never get my Pireps how it wanted them anyway...

vANZ I tried once, but the stupid program you HAVE to use didn't work, and I don't like the idea of having to do at least one flight a month.. I prefer flying when I want.. I can still fly from NZWN-->NZCH in a 733 without being in a VA, and enjoy it just as much. I don't find they 'enhance' msy FS 'experience'

..
O well, they're a good place to find repaints for specific airlines as most have a 'downloads' page.

I started doing the FlyNET thing that Jimmy setup... and then got a little too involved with 'Real Life'... and then my login was revoked...
I just went to look it up again this weekend to see if it was still going (I like doing the little 1900D runs

) but it looks like FlyNET are having some technical difficulties... the forum is still working, but if you try connecting to the main site you just get 403 errors.
To make things worse, apparently the dev's are backpacking around australia until Sept 23rd... so I'm not sure if its likely to get fixed before then.

I also have technical troubles with Flynet, although I am still a member with them.
I'm also a member of Metro Air VA, based in detroit:
www.metroairvirtual.comPreviously I was with Sim Airline Net, which has 27 real world airline models to fly with.

Hey guys
I founded New Zealand Virtual Airlines (NZVA) with a good freind Ryan about a month ago now. We use a programme called VAFS which has all of your flight data, pilot records etc. We have Air New Zealand flights logged in VAFS and pilots are able to fly the realworld flights that air nz flys in real life on flight simulator. This records the flight, hours, fuel burned, money earnt etc and sends it back to the server and is uploaded to the site.
If you want to check it out go to
New Zealand Virtual Airlinescheers

Nice clean site there Max, well done mate. It looks like you have put a lot of time into setting the system up and offering a procedure to take advantage of FSX features is a good idea. All the best for your VA!!

cheers mate we also have downloadable flight plans for almost every flight we have. We have over 100 Air New Zealand Flights flying the Beech 1900D, ATR72-500 (New model released today, see site for details) 737-300, A321 (A320 replacement) 767-300, 777-200 and the 747-400.
We have a rank system so as your hours build up and your experience increases, promotions will be given to larger aircrafts.
Hope you guys take a look

Hay Max for well over a year now I have thought about joining a VA, but like others have said I like flying when I want, so how commited do I have to be for your VA, some times I may do many many flights a month sometimes very little in new zealand,
But your site looks very very good
So would love to join,
Regards, Scott

Hey Scott
Great to see ya on NZFF
With NZVA you are able to fly in Freeflight or Multiplayer, the flight recording programme will work either way, but you must be connected to the internet when starting your flight and when you finish your flight as it sends your flight information to the server and your flight will appear on the live flights page, where you can veiw all of the flights that our pilots are flying.
So to answer your question, you can fly whenever you want. We are not like VANZ where you require atleast one flight every month.
Although we do require some level of commitment to the Virtual Airline, we are quite casual aswell.
Cheers, Max

I do all my flying with VPA and vANZ, Air New Zealand flights. Domestic in the 733 for now, I try to fly one or two flights a day.
I'm also a member of various other virtual airlines.
