I am not sure if this has been covered before.

I have a Logitech Attack 3 Joystick. Its great for flying but it doesn't have a rudder axis so it is absolute crud for crosswinds etc.

What is a cheap but reliable joystick?

I have the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro...$50 from Dick Smith. Some have calibration problems(i.e. rudder turns to left etc) my first one got that in the 3rd day of use..took back and straight swap with the same model and this one works perfectly now! smile.gif It has a twist rudder and throttle control, hatswitch(i think thats the name) and button within easy reach.

P.S. i think it has been covered before

Sidewinder Precision 2 is a solid stick... has rudder twist, 8 buttons, hat switch and throttle... I was lucky and got mine off TradeMe for around $25...

Saitek joysticks are good quality - usually for a reasonable price. winkyy.gif

Saitek Evo here too for the lappy. Not particularly through choice, but mainly cos it was the only stick she shop had (I was in Wellington and suffering from FS withdrawl!) My main FS PC upstairs has yoke/throttle/pedals/Goflight stack, the whole nine yards.

recomended the Saitek Cyborg evo thumbup1.gif the one trolly has in his avatar are really good priced and a good alrounder with all you need to have a great time in the crosswinds lots of button to program and if you drop it about 100 times of the puter table like mine unsure.gif it should still work and nothing breaks off thumbup1.gif

I got the one that is on trolly's avatar (its quite good it feels like a real aeroplane should as my ones a bit dirty around the joints making it stiff like you'd expect in an airliner)

I have actually just literally come back from Noel Leemings with my new Saitek Cyborg Evo ever since I used one on Mikes sim I have been hooked (thanks Mike hahaha) and unless I got a propper Helicopter Setup I wouldnt get anything other than this one.

Although I did see the Saitek X52 at DSE Powerhouse earlier today.

Mine's suffered a few scratches and dents in the metal flashing thanks to baggage handlers at London/Los Angeles/Auckland/Hong Kong, but is otherwise functional. I was going to try to find some travel stickers for it, like in the old movies (why don't they do those any more?) laugh.gif

I have had my first joystick, a Siatek Rumble Force, for longer than I can remember excatly.. Its done a bloody good job and still goes perfectly, I still remember they day I saw it there on sale in the phamptlet circular, forty or fifty dollars it was, I was chuffed, and everyday since it has kept me happy....
