A General Question - Landing Gear

Have been flying two helo's with retractable landing gear recently. Wondering, for the S76 and A109 (Nemeth Designs), what would be the recommended limitations regarding gear extend and retract? Both great helo's and am enjoying them much - thanks to P3D and their latest update - V5!
