Posted: Wed May 27, 2020 8:38 amHaving a bit of spare time on my hands I was mucking around installing gate guidance systems at various airports and getting to grips with SODE. I tried my hand at installing Jetways as well but..........well all I can say is that is a dark art. I couldn't find any freeware (or payware for that matter) anywhere and unfortunately I'm not a modeler so I was out of luck. When searching I came across a video on installing jetways in GSX. Wow what an amazing program. Installing a jetway is very easy and there is a huge selection of customisable models to choose from. I could (and have) spent hours just watching GSX loading and unloading aircraft. Even on my iFly 737 you can watch the catering truck dock to the aircraft and unload trolleys through the aircraft door and into the cabin. Pushbacks are great and the aircraft is accurately placed. Even a custom pushback can be easily and quickly designed.
At the moment Simmarket have the bundle for 46 euros or NZ$86. The ability to even upgrade default airports makes it worth it.
I was working on NFFN (Nadi) but I have found that the AFCAD layout is miles out....more tinkering needed.
