Anyone notice the large influx of advertising on avsim.com and flightsim.com? Or do I have a virus?

Both fine for me, apart from the usual ads at the top and side of the home page.

I'm using ZoneAlarm, AVG 7.5, Spybot S&D and Lavasoft AD Adware to keep my system clean :D

Nothing out of the ordinary at either of them for me either. Maybe your machine has succumbed to a sneaky piece of Adware being installed on it without your knowledge. Easily found and removed if you use tools like AdAware-SE, or Spybot Search and Destroy.

I uses Firefox, and a plugin called AdBlock Plus. That has totally removed teh ads from many sites. Even Avsim, Airliners.net and so on.

Im useing firefox 2 with no add blocks (for some reason the downloading of the add bloker seems harder than putting up with the adds!) and I can see excacly the same amount of adds as have been since I joined avsim..

Your on fast internet anyway, its us "56kers" that suffer most from adds... (unless you downloaded a hell of alot and were slowed down to dial up :P )
