Good morning everyone.

Are any of you using the topcat take off and landing performance calculation tool? For those who have no clue what I'm talking about http://www.flightsimsoft.com/topcat/
As I'm mostly using pmdg's md-11 and the level d 767, which are both supported, I'm considering spend the 17 something euros.
Any recommendations or comments on that add on?

Cheers

I've never really heard of it, you may want to post this on a few other forums, I don't recall anyone mentioned this program.

Ah bummer. Just what I thought when the search didn't come up with any results.

Cheers

I went for rex with overdrive for the same price as its on sale at simmarket. You should have a look at it, there are plenty of discounts

Have a look at what Frooglesim on YouTube uses on his fully loaded videos for data I think he uses something that to obtain these.

Sorry for jumping in late on this one. I've got TOPCAT and use it regularly. I initially bought it and wondered what I'd wasted my money on but like most things....read the manual!.

Benefits I've found - really quick to calculate de-rated take offs. After linking the program with an aircraft.cfg file you can then use the program to load the aircraft including fuel. Alternatively you can go straight to the take off page and topcat can grab weather details and the current aircraft weight from FSX and then be used to calculate take offs. Once you work out the program its easy and quick. I think the main gripe people have had is that the developer hasn't added many new planes recently but if it has the aircraft you use then go for it.
