Prepar3D .... well ...

Well , finally got time to "open" the package today .... and in typical pin fashion had problems straight away <_<
I couldn't validate (activate) the download ..."reg key could not be " ..... etc etc ...error 9217 .
So rather than bother anyone here , i got online and did some digging .. thank goodness i found a site with pictures

Turns out i needed to make some adjustments to my registry , and disable a thing in another place ... and bingo ! i was in .
Not really knowing what to expect , and knowing how much it cost , i was a little nervous ... remember your talking to someone who jumped from XP Home to Win10 , and held off getting FSX for sometime ....BUT! I'm impressed ... very much so.

My initial observations are that its faster , smoother , beautiful lighting , everything looks more "real".
The interface is familiar (even though i haven't seen it before) , clean and uncluttered ... it really is a big step up in my opinion .

The lineup of included aircraft in itself is impressive , with stuff from Alabeo , Carenado , Iris , and others .

Without wanting to go on, and tell you stuff you already know ... its magic .
Will post some screens later this evening ... again , old hat for most of you , but bloody amazing for me.

Cheers , and thanks for all the tips and info prior to me making a giant leap of faith :)

Glad it worked out, I knew you'd be impressed -- just what we needed, even better-looking screenshots from the pin...

Yeah, addons are a bit of a nuisance, finding what works, reinstalling... best to take it slow at first, just the favourites.

I've loaded up FSX for the first time in weeks today, I never thought I'd shift entirely to P3D like I have, and if it wasn't for having to develop for FSX, I would probably give it up entirely.

My Dream Machine at the moment, to join my Honda CB500RR Twin, and my two Yamaha 2-strokes.....

...is a nice shiny Honda CMX 250C Rebel Cruiser!

Small, and manageable for lil' old me, and the delight of all the Americans who own one!

I'm at the age now, after 65 years of daily Biking, when I need comfort, rather than speed!... ...!

...and a laid-back Cruiser is perfect for all my regular countryside tours around Britain!

http://powersports.honda.com/2015/rebel.aspx ....FUN is the magic word!... :groupwave: ....!

Paul....Motorbiking is good for you....and me!.... :D ....!

Prepar3D...can wait for a while....trust me.... :wink2: ...!

I'm loving it ... I'm not home tonight so i cant fly :(
Nice to see that some of my hanger members are compatible ..Lightning , Tornado and JF Airbus family.
It would be great if my WBS mustangs would work , and the realair Spit .... maybe later.

Also noted that V2 aircraft will work as well , i have a few that had that option when purchased for FSX.
I could go on , but i wont .... I'm loving it. :)

Last year I changed over to P3D, I did run into problems and with Help its all up and running great. As you will notice its very similar to FSX in the layout. I only found 2 aircraft that I thought they were only ok and have gone to Carando for a replacement. I do still think FSX is really good but you will find a difference with P3D.
