Hi all,

This is a bit of an odd request, but I am looking to add a number of model aircraft to my man-cave. I am wanting to get about 20 or so; however brand new they are bloody expensive. If anybody has any they are willing to offload, perhaps due to lack of room etc, please let me know!

I have some cold hard cash here waiting

I have a spare (new, never been opened) Corgi 1/32 Hurricane Mk1 P2970. (AA35509) Somehow I mistakenly managed to order 2 (at the same time as ordering some other models from Corgi) one of which is sitting alongside a Corgi 1/32 Spitfire Mk1A taking pride of place in my collection of about 150 diecast models. The model represents the a/c flown by Geoffrey Page who became the first member of Sir Archibald Macindoe’s "Guinea Pig Club" and now recreated by the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. Limited Edition of 1000 models worldwide.

My collection comprises solely RAF/RN FAA types in service between 1938 and 2008 and there are many gaps! Some of these will never be made as die cast models and I am therefore collecting plastic kits of the rarer types, where they exist, in the hope that one day i might have time to build them! If others have any models for sale that you think I might be interested in please let me know.

Kieth , I'd love to walk across to your place and study/checkout your collection , Crikey a 1/32 scale diecast Hurricane, that would not have been cheap, I have a diecast 1/72 Harvard, the ole NZ1050 Wigram gate guardian , they are extremely detailed.

You would be most welcome Ian. The sad part is that the majority are still in their boxes; there are only so many that can be squeezed into my single display case at any one time. I'm always on the lookout for decent display cases but they too are fiendishly expensive

The available 4 shelves I have set up currently to represent: 1) - BoB, 2) - RAF bombers WW2, 3) - Air Defence of GB post WW2 4)and base, - FAA WW2 and post WW2 - about 30 models in total. Looks best at night when lit with the small halogen lamps. Oh! how could i forget - XH558 (1/72 scale) is also using my coffee table as a runway!

Thanks Kieth, we will have to sort out a time .. I'll keep my eyeballs out for display cases ....... VULCAN on the coffee table .. and 1/72 that is the only place for it.
