Jimmy Jillickers! , next option a SSD for the OS and op's and add another HD into the PC a 500Gb Raptor .. Arr all fixed ........... Not quite Baby ! every thing glued in driver clone and saved ... Ohhhhhooooo Bugger ! its off to grave yard for the graphics card ! (least it was dia-nose with terminal cancer) rolleyes.gif .

This was to only take one ta two days, today hopefully it comes home from the computer hospital , I use that this PC a lot , scanned and edits using my whooping great ADOBE CS5.5 with all the bells and whistles , this last week on this PC - all I had was my 1999 ADOBE PS7 .. Yeah I hear you Ian. My partners computer failed to post the other day. I took it to my usual PC repair shop for diagnosis. He said the graphics card and power supply were ok and that it was either the mobo or CPU.
I took a punt and ordered a replacement mobo. It was not not that so now I have a 25% restocking charge (another name for rort). These guys make more money on restocking the product than they do actually selling it. Rather than go for another replacement CPU to try I had the power supply rechecked at a different place (the place where I purchased the mobo) and in the process discovered it was the graphics card that had fried. All that hassle just for a failed graphics card!
Then there was my kids PC over at their mum's place that needed the Norton antivirus renewing. I said that there were some good free alternatives to use instead. Do you think I could install any of them? Nope. Turned out the PC was infected with practically every virus known to man....and this is with the so called "King of antivirus protection" running on it and fully up to date. It required quite an intensive clean and windows repair.

Ooooh BUGGER! , I left the hospitalized PC running three days checking and double check not to loose any information and transferring data , .... the So called King .. Steve the 'King' is dead , seriously I dont think anyone touch's Nortons or Mcfee AV anymore, all you need is a good freeware , AVAST or along those lines and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, go from there .

Couldn't agree more. Norton is more trouble than it is worth but it is what came with the PC when they bought it. I think Kingsoft (free) is on there now and it seems very good.

Semtex....

Nah ya don't need semtex, just just need bad syntax..... , good thing is I will be able to compare the difference very shortly , the rating on the PC went up two complete points , had I brought a larger processor and without overclocking to which is something never would do or have done be able to give a good recommendation and cheaper alternative, No more room in the PC , every bay has a hard drive in it .
