Gidday all, after being a staunch FS9 fan for such a long time, I decided to upgrade. Went to FSX and bought NZ ORBX. The point of this post is I also got a DLP 3D projector some DLP glasses, Tridef 3D software, and the 3D view is just stunning. I dont think I could go back to 2D!
The ORBX is exceptional as it is, but in DLP 3D it is just another world altogether! My question, how many flight simmers are using 3D and how are you using it. cheers!

Congrads your upgrade .. FSX .. your really going to like it as you dwell further into it ... 2D to 3D , the change is almost .. well many still don't use VC's and stick with a 2D format or cockpit , and many even still only fly from the outside but i'm guessing your talking 3D glass's , think you might be at the forefront here - a pioneer so to speak

Gidday Ian, It has taken about 3 months from when I flew in a retranger into mechanics bay with FS9 and decided thats it, scenery really bad!! new computer ,new everything!
But the funny thing is there is very little info on the inter webby about 3D, but after many exhausting hour of failure I got it all working today, if anyone here wants some hard found info on how to do it I would be really happy to help out, trust me, the end result is no less than stunning!

Wow, intriguing, had not heard of TriDef before. Seems to support a lot of games. Thanks for the heads-up.
Must be a LOT of work going on in the GPU or CPU to perform the image split and depth-of-field effect huh
Would really wanna experience this myself though before splashing out (do have a 3D TV now) as there seems to be mixed results from those that are using it.
