Look!!!! An NZ landclass and hi-res mesh package for X-Plane....This sim is getting more and more tempting...I always wanted to give it a try. There is a fantastic DC-3 an ATR coming from Aerosoft, aDash 8, and who knows what else is on the way...

I guess be great on low end systems , i noticed for a so call hi-res mesh Hokitika airport sits flat with town , this sits on a shelf over looking the town , Wobblyville airport (ex-Christchurch) is the old NZscenery's airport , the hanger textures prove that , they stick out like dogs balls tongue.gif

They actually say Ian, that X-Plane 10 is more demanding than FSX on most systems!

The screenshots, I think, look pretty good! I don't use X-Plane, but it's good to see some development coming along for the platform finally. I don't have a Windows PC anymore, and X-Plane is definitely an attractive system to entice Mac users into FS. I'm tempted to give it a go, but I don't think version 10 will run all that well on my system, and I don't really see version 9 as worth my time compared to FSX.

Core blimey .. X2 or 4 , never followed on Xplane simply due to the many FSX addons i have , but looking at those screens and it being more demanding , Cripes think i'll won't even bother with it .

I've kept an eye on X-Plane since version 7 - I used to resell version 8 for a while. It's got some great stuff that FSX sorely needs, but overall it's still got that early FS9 overall feel to it. Which is great if one is cool with that, but I need more visual realism than that, especially with atmospherics (which have improved in 10 but still feel "plastic"). I've heard many times that from a technical flight-dynamics perspective X-Plane is quite superior to FSX, but I've not actually met anyone who is confident on both and can give an unbiased nod to this. But as you all know, I'm hanging out for Outerra... let's not go THERE, again.... biggrin.gif
