Hi all,

I'm sure we're all aware of the painful lack of classic turboprops for FSX. Oh, sorry I should add, I'm not talking about those bush planes with the PT-6 engines...(well, I love those too...). I'm talking about the big PW or CT engines and 25+ passengers. Also let's forget about FS2004 conversions and outdated blocky VCs...

What about a real FSX ATR 72, SAAB 340, BEECH 1900, DASH 8, or (most importantly) FOKKER F27????

The only high-quality native FSX models that I know of are the Captiain Sim C-130 and the PMDG Jetstream 4100. What's so scary or complicated about turboprop modelling in FSX? We have Accusim now, scenery with 2cm resolution, complex FMCs and weather radars, but still no turboprops? And please don't tell me that there wouldn't be a good market for it. Half of the world's domestic air traffic is run by turboprops... rules.gif censored2.gif angry.gif icon_twisted.gif icon_exclaim.gif Just breath.....just breath....inhale.... yinyang.gif

Anyway, there was a certain developer team. They were pretty keen on turboprops...But they vanished...They're called Dreamwings Design...

AND NOW THEY ARE BACK AND PLANNING TO BUILD FSX MODELS!!!!

I find it pretty exciting, I sure hope it's something serious! We might still have a slight hope for a nice FSX turboprop.

Dan

FXS just fortunate it took that long . biggrin.gif

I grabbed the PMDG Jetstream 4100 after my purchase of the 737ngx. Another great plane from PMDG even though it's an older one. Love to see a Dash 8.

Actually turbo props are rather difficult to model in fsx just have a read on the aerosoft forum about the bronco, it takes quiet a bit to get them to behave as you can see from all those who have tried.

Very much a long way off , 777 pre -xmas mention the DC-6 before course a 747 , so be with a Bronco and JS for a whiles yet .
