For those people in Welly Air NZ's new 777-300 is landing in Wellington Easter Sunday at 1045 but will be departing again half an hour latter. I understand it is on its way down to Wanaka for a fly over.

From Wellington Airports Facebook Page:

On Easter Sunday 8 April, Air New Zealand will be flying the all black 777-300 into Wellington at 10.45am and departing at 11.15am. The team will be on Moa Point Road, Lyall Bay, from 10.00am with some tasty Easter treats, so grab the kids and head to the Airport this Sunday!

Just about be worth jumping on a plane from Wobbly to Welly and back just to see ... just think when they get the Cafe plane spotters bar set up , they could arrange flyins , get dropped of outside - now that is not a bad bizzness idea . cool.gif

That would be a really nice gesture. I hope your idea bears fruit, Marty.

it was awesome to see at wanaka... was there and got pics and video (just sorting through 3000 still images to get it) what a truly impressive aircraft passes at 500ft with 'fast' passes and a couple of dirty passes with a finally of a pass at 500ft and 300kts
