Purchased REX and downloading now. Looks like this could be a while, over 7 Gigs!

Good man! You won't regret it. I have dynamic weather always enabled, and the whole experience is different every time I jump into the sim.

FEX is pretty good as well, i also have REX, but recently Im finding the FSX default is also good, as are some of the themes that come with the ORBX stuff.

Is that where is replaces the textures?
How long does it take to swap the textures?

You set up a theme in REX (which I change *very rarely*) that includes sky, clouds, water, ground and lights textures. You then "apply/install" it ... which is when all the textures get created/swapped. This can take a while (around 5mins), so it's not something you do before every flight.

I find that even using the same theme over and over again, that there's plenty of variation - depending on the time of day or live weather. Sometimes, it catches me totally by surprise - they can be *that* different from session to session.

Definately worth getting REX especially once REX Essential is released wink.gif
