Looks like our flagship paper is sinking still lower.

Spot the revamped F-16s!!

Makes you wonder how accurate *any* of their reporting is.

MMMM something wrong with that story, or is it the Pic??? Last time I saw a F-16 I'm sure it only had one engine, and a single air intake. Must be the Secret Service's upgraded version to keep pace with Marine one. huh.gif

Ian you might be onto something there with all your knowlege; most of the talking head avation "experts" would be hard pressed to distingush between a 152 and a 172, let alone a MkIX vs Mk XII Spitfire. Reading or watching their expert opinions leaves me more confused most of the time.

Adam, our local school paper has more credibility than that rag. I think they find their journalist's under the Grafton bridge .

I can only presume that there's no EDITOR in-residence at the Herald (either that, or it's just "the ghost in the machine") - as I see mis-spelling, appalling grammar or sloppy/inaccurate writing almost on a daily basis.

It's not that I'm just being anal - decent journalism is *THE* safeguard for democracy. Let that slip, and you have politicians doing what they want - regardless of pre-election promises/manifesto etc. Errrrm ... oops they already do sad.gif

And don't even mention TV "News" unsure.gif ninja.gif blink.gif

Ok, i wont mention the TV news .......BUT.....no....i wont mention it winkyy.gif We are all subject to the whims of editors....very powerful people.
I had to laugh the other day, when Paul Henry opened his show with the words...Oh, in case you havent heard, Whitney Houston died....anyway, lets get on with the show.......and he was right. She had a great voice....but , you live the life...you die the death, hardly front page news for 4 days.

Not that I am defending the Herald at all but that is an Associated Press article... and at the risk of having to hand in my NZFF membership rights I'll ask the question..

What's wrong with the article? I guess that's not a F16?

Yes indeed, a prop (two props are ok) and a gun that doesn't need electronics to guide it to target smile.gif
