hi guys iam just giving a heads up on a project that my self and some friends have been working on . we have a started a virtual airline that will follow both comercial routes and scenic chopper flights that will start off in queenstown for the chopper flights and auckland for the jetliners and expand as we grow .if anyone would more info plase feel free to pm me or reply to this topic

I would be interested in the jet services. What A/C tyes and destinations are you looking at. Is it all NZ based or international as well.

Hi Captainherc we international type 738 atm but will add more wiht more pilots dash8 etc our destinations ybbn, yssy ,klax for the international and nzaa to nzch , nzaa to nzwn ,nzqn to nzmf , nzaa to nzgs , nzaa to nzpn for the national
and scenic flights

I never tried a virtual airline as yet , i signed up for one ways back in 1997 Westwind but due internet connections and alotted time never carry through with it .

Hi ian you would most welcome to jion and and iam sure we can work somthing out as at this stage we have a no set hours per week rule just as long as you fly for 2 or 3 days even if they are just a 18 minute flight from Queenstown to milford sound and have fun and u can choose what You would like to fly and we hope to add more routes and aircraftas we grow and each pilot will have a option of ranking up from cadet to to higher ranks using VAS

Easy done , i do recall having to use horrible default , how do you go for an aircraft listing and possible types to use ,i prefer my paywares , how do you go with those and maybe a airline livery designed for the fleet .

Hi ian for the aircraft we currently have a nemth eurocoper ec135 for the chopper flights and the pmdg 738 for the fixed wing .we are currently working on a livery for our airline

You are going to need to set a paint /livery for the fleet , course that also involves require types , you need a blanket sheet for airline

Might be useful to setup a forum for virtual airline discussions? Plenty of VAs now operating in NZ airspace.
Is a tough one though, tends to get a bit political. Could be managed tho

That,s a thing Dean , very little open about VA , they are a almost closed group , just like the MP world .. need to advertise .. ill do a sudo paint if require but has to be a well known payware , i shun the defaults tho some quality freewares , Manfred Jahn for example could suit very well .

I too am interested. I also have the Super80. Great for domestic travel and cross ditch. Need to get a long range one sorted out too.
