Get home this morning , a new banner smile.gif Now I really approve off the screen and well done Dorian , the nice part is the description , location , aircraft type and author , it really adds a little spice . Since this is a new banner competition , I think its time to archive the winner banners . I will make this my task so we can look back and admire , many works have been lost over time , we will see what we can find . Maybe get it pinned , a good incentive to see how many times you get in the Screen Shot Hall off Fame cool.gif .

I really like the info too! However - it seems a shame to slap it over the image, IMHO. Could it be done as a mouseover/tooltip instead, I wonder?

A fair point, but really the image is there to serve and promote the forum, so this is one way of doing it -- if it can spark a couple of new entries into the comp, then it's done its job. And the banner image has already gone through some radical editing, with the crop, plus the full image is always available within the comp thread.
