New sounds

A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

Hi guys,

There are two new sound sets that might be of interest:

- there is a freeware Corsair one (vcorsairsnz.zip on Flightsim). Might be a good replacement for the A2A P74 sound which -IMHO- is missing that wild roar (it has the same P&W R-28000 engine). I'll download and test this afternoon and let you know

- there is a payware Dart sound (rrdartsnz.zip on Flightsim). This also has a video, and I think it's pretty brilliant actually - a nice companion for the Justflight F-27 and the Viscount.

UPDATE:

I tested the Corsair sound and it' has what I was looking for - nice raw power sounds.

Sounds .. I use Classic Hangers FW-190 sounds for the AH Corsair, it has that when it dose a fly past it has this distinct sound - like a hollow roar especially after Keith Skilling dose his airshow flypasts.

As you said Dan the sound is lacking rumble rushing sound and it is the same engine.
