The Ultimate FS computer set up

A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

I was trawling some other forums (mentioning no names!) and saw details about what could possibly be the ultimate FS computer. Only thing is that you need 120 pcs hooked up together, and a great deal of cash! There is a good video showing it in operation, but for some reason this would only display when I opened the page in Internet explorer, firefox for some reason did not want to show it. So open the page with IE.

there is also a low res. version of the video on Youtube:-

Definitely something for the Christmas wish list.

Smooth landings.

I checked out a very similar but on the cheap side setup and it was displayed at the Avalon airshow in 2001 , 9 people networked 1 as controller others with home built 16 cockpits , this was projected on a wide screen , today be interesting to see how further the home builder setup has come , SeanG is working on his A4 , this cockpit is now surpassing anything back in 2001 .

Wow, pretty impressive that wrap-around display, and some mean looking terrain they were flying thru, wonder where that was meant to be, if not fictional?

Tragically the authors neglected to put an EMBED tag inside the OBJECT tag for the flash movie, otherwise that exact same movie would have played in FFox angry.gif

Does that look like Falcon with a custom terrain engine to anyone else? For some reason it doesn't look like FSX to me...
