The Moon: now this is different

A place to converse about the general aspects of flight simulation in New Zealand

Now FS2004 users can stop feeling jealous of FSX folk who can fly into space -- you can go one step better, with Terrabuilder: Moon.
This has been in development for a while, I'd forgotten about it, until it was released this week. This addon basically reworks the entire Earth, so that it becomes the moon. It also includes a few moon bases, and some vehicles for getting about. Oh, and autogen moon rocks...
This is very expensive, at US$60, and as I've retired my credit card for the foreseeable future, I won't be getting it any time soon. However if my circumstances change (like everyone buys 'Real NZ' for Xmas) then I'd certainly love to have this to play with.
Terrabuilder has been around for a long time, their main product has always been Terrabuilder Pro and Lite, which is used to create photoreal scenery for fS2002/2004.
Visit Terrabuilder for details.

Are there any reviews of this yet anywhere?

It looks like it would be a really boring addon- dark night sky all the time, no airports, no city or coastal scenery, no AI...

How would this work when the Moon is a heap smaller than the Earth - is the scale of the whole thing changed? _ I guess I should read their web site.

Intriguing add-on indeed. The thing that put me off though, was the fact that only a small area has a higher res mesh (higher res = 75m), the rest is really low res. Since the moon is basically a big chunk of rock, I'd only be interested if you get at least a 40 mesh preferentialy covering the whole moon. Having a moon ground texture draped over a very generic surface doesn't sound that appealling to me...
