Also if you blured the grass on the top one to look like the background, it would look super!

QUOTE(Jimmy @ Jul 27 2007, 09:11 AM) So what sort of improvement in perforamce are you getting? I will run some checks and get back to you on that one James.I have put the default textures back in but it is no problem putting in the smaller textures just to compare the FPS.I think doing it on the open water would probably be the best way,That way the autogen won't effect things at all. The default textures were 1.33MB 512x512 in size. The ones that I used are 341KB 256x256.Using the default textures I am getting about 4 fps.4fps up is better than 4fps down /biggrin.gif style=...

Chris , was Mike of help , they do have a tiger hanging up in Wiggy Museum, I could get a photo if required ? :) Well, it wasn't a Tiger, but the info was good - no, excellent. I also have a few other contacts who dropped lines and tips. So now I can figure out that the chord is about 4' 3" i.e. 51" so I need 20 stitches. I'm a bit "heavy" as it turns out. More in the next week or so - the paying job's call is (unfortunately) stronger. Later...

OK looking at your specs and then mine.. It's tempting. Anyone have any ideas how my comp would go? Most of my flying is city-city in large airliners- I don't think that will help my fps..

Yeah ive been building hundreds of gallerys for work ,all that must be getting to my head  I look at the before and after shots and wonder whitch one looks better {they both look just as good as each other } i think really its the scenery that does it all for those last lot of shots not to mention the clouds ,they look so awesome i should get one of my spare gallerys and put some screenshots in them instead of the clients ones

I reviewed the Captainsim YAK a while ago, a bargin for under $10! Your shots show it at its best- how do you get the angles you used there in the sim? I use Walk & Follow to get those angles :)

Thanks Guys. Glad you enjoyed it. Welcome to NZFF Kev. Outpost 3 is my favourite as well, followed by Opst4. I tried to make a mix to suit most tastes. But now I know what appeals I can do other similar ones. Looks like my flattens at each location worked. But not sure about Matts Opst 1 problem, the fltn has worked. I wonder if it is a topography issue with the default topo not showing the river in the correct location? If anyone has any ideas I'd be glad to hear them in case it's something I can do to fix for future Mission builds. I'm out for next Friday but am thinking of...

I wouldn't mind your PC also LOL. What are the specs so I can bear them in mind when I upgrade?. Well its a P4 2.8 HT, 1024 MB memory, X1950 Pro 512 DDR3 AGP and an Audigy 2. Only the graphics card is "new" ;) Thanks for that Montie. A decent graphics card makes the difference. Cheers.
