Talking about olden Times...and the year "2006".... Anyone remember the flight sim forum; "Simviation"... started by Pete Daly ? I jonined it in 2006, and have been a Member there ever since, popping in every day! It was the Lads in Simviation that dragged me kicking anf screaming into FSNZ in 2010, when a tour of the Australia and New Zealand Coast was organized, and took place, in Multiplayer... on line! The one thing that has always got me permanantlty attached to FSNZ is the "Chat" forum, where i can have fun with evey day! ...and dont forget the Motorcycle...

The screenshots were taken near Rotorua (RealNZ Scenery) and with Christian's 20m mesh & landclass installed. I have installed SP1, but I am waiting to see what the general view is about installing SP2. Frame rates seem better with much lower autogen (as normal) and with road traffic also reduced a lot. Many more view options with FSX which make getting screenshots much easier. You can still toggle through the views using the 'S' key as with FS9, but also toggle through several extra views using the 'A' key. I have not found a way to assign a key to the...

Thanks to all for spotting the building!! Turns out that the FSX patch had installed a complete folder named FSX so the files were 'hidden' in separate folder, rather than overwritten. I have extracted the files, and put them in the right places, so now there is no huge building and also a heap of new things (like seats) showing up. Thanks for the tips!! Still trying to find the setting to de-select the additional aircraft registration though. The scenery is Horizon's GenX (1.2m photo), for FSX (naturally). I do have autogen for the area, but it hasn't been reinstalled yet after my PC rebuild (that goes for the Needles at the other end of the island too, sorry Trolly). The disused airfield in pic 3 is Thorney Island , and in pic 5, Beaulieu Bembridge is one of my favourite £100 Hamburger destinations (and the first place I flew to after getting my PPL) - the 'Crab & Lobster', right next to the coastguard lookout, 5 minutes by taxi or 20 minutes on foot from the airfield. :thumbup:

Hugh - and anyone else who is not aware of the site. Heaps of repaints including Pionair, NAC, RNZAF etc. They have an upgrade from the original release for FSX and MAAM must be one of the first to provide a fix for the problems that Acceleration presented re props and VC transparency issues (see avsim MAAM forum). A beautiful model for a sentimental 'oldie" Norm
