I like this a bit ugly aircraft. Not a beauty, but interesting to fly.

I have stored my images by for years... maybee another idea... The KC 135 is next on the list to get replaced... time to fly them,before it is to late...

I think I like it because it's a good size for me -- kind of like getting on a bus, without being herded like cattle. My best flight was Tauranga to Christchurch, after photographing NZTG. The training school there organised access etc, and I was meant to go up in a heli for some aerial shots, but the pilot was late because of the weather. So there I was waiting on the far side of the airport, with my flight home getting closer, so when the heli finally arrived he just dropped me on the tarmac beside the 1900d. The other passengers were wondering who the hell I was getting that sort of...

.................and when the tail rotor goes west? :blink: Close the throttle, to remove the torque and auto. If you're close to the ground and you've put the tail into the trees, close the throttle and cushion it onto the ground. Pilots train for this sort of emergency. The AW169 or whatever it was in England recently was a most unfortunate accident. Relatively new type, cutting edge technology. That occurrence is no different to the 737 MAX in Indo recently where it appears that the AoA sensor sent the elevator trim into full deflection... New technology, people died, the industry learns,...

Thanks for looking gents ... will try and get a few more on here in the morning. There are so many ...mainly MTB's and the like ...but some larger ones as well ....and of course the new Helicopters.
