Hope it’s not too personal, I hope you’ll be able to get your hands back on the real yoke soon :) So do I but I can't really see that happening for a long time. There is zero flying programmed for the 777 for the next 2 rosters which takes us to 21 Jun. Only 23 captains (out of 147) will remain on the fleet being Instructors and Check captains. This is to allow them to try and maintain some type of currency and be ready to go when things start to pick up. In fact there is no plans for the 777 until April 2021. That is a lot of tin to have lying around. There is a lot of downtraining to do and...

They're pretty terrific shots there Marty, well done. On a slight side note, right now, 50 years ago, Apollo 13 was closing in on the moon. If you want to follow along with the flight in real time, this site allows you to view all of the film and pictures and listen to all of the audio. For me, the period of about four hours after the O2 tank rupture is far more exciting than any movie...

So sorry to hear this Rob. I was lucky to visit my mum in Auckland and say goodbye the day before she passed, just as I had returned back to Wellington. Ah the good old days, I still remember them like last month <_<

The family, (an import from Eastern Europe), in the house opposite to me who recently moved into the privately rented property moved out again yesterday, I suspect because they could no longer pay the rent, being out of work due to the Virus! There will be a lot more folks like that with no income, I fear! I live in a big 3-bedroomed Council House with a massive garden, which I moved into in 1962, and have paid the rent promptly every week, (direct debit from my bank), with the aid from my Company Private Pension and Old Age pension, (I retired in 1984..woo-hoo!). The only reason we are...

Well put Rob ..... I had forgotten those quake days until now, but your right ...we got through. We lived in a half mud-filled house with no water and intermitted power for almost a month..... having to fill the toilet tank from a big plastic bin of water ...provided by someone I had never met. I do recall the day power was finally restored and stable ..... until then I had turned the hot water off for fear of cooking the cylinder......but that first HOT shower(12 hours after the announcement) was just bliss ...a simple thing I'll never forget. I also remember trying to get up to Kaiapoi...

The orbit would have been conducted at low level to reduce exposure to SAMs and small arms fire from the no fly zone. Maybe to the former... but as the RAF Tornados showed in Desert Storm, definitely No if avoiding small arms fire. Thanks for this CP, At 0:52 I thought you had posted an airliner accident clip. :o

I ordered a copy of Sony Vegas a few years ago, online. Foolishly did not look properly, and turns out it shipped from Germany! This was in the early days of public awareness that goods often came into the country without GST etc. Got a call from DHL locally to say the parcel was impounded in Customs, and pay up or else. An email followed, quite aggressive, to say they could only hold the parcel for 48 hours, transfer funds to this account. I paid them, and wondered how Customs managed to get them to do the billing, and also how they managed to virtually equal the purchase price. The parcel...

Mike , I dont have a screengraber that Im aware of .... Marty, I was using the word in a general sense, cos that was quicker than typing 'whatever button you use to get a screenie' That said, when you are checking differences and changes, updates are prime suspects. Not sure if you get everything via Steam, but they have a File Integrity Check thing which could help. And of course, just to keep things simple, there are reports elsewhere of the latest Win10 update breaking things (again!!) ATB, Mike PS I can do you a deal on toilet rolls - buyer collects  :arrr:

...I'll just be happy when it stops bl**dy raining and I can go for some comfy rides on my Motorcycle again. We are in the midst of wild storms; Ciara, Dennis, and Jorge... With all the "wildness" going on, I'm just waiting for Storm; "Judy", (Wizard of Oz), to arrive now. Coronavirus? What has a soft drink got to do with an infestation of Viruses infecting the known Universe (and China) ... :o ...>>> ). ...like I said before... ..just keep away from..."Other People" ...and drink plenty of Corona. Paul... :D ... :D ... :D ...!
