Thank you Mike. I have been in this forum for so many years now. And I'm always happy to meet you" even though half the world is between us. There is a book that always comes to mind when I look at today's politics... "Shogun" by James Cavell He lets Prince Toranaga (Tokugawa Ieyasu say) "A rebelliousness against the lord of the state is unpresentable, unless you win." I have the feeling that something is brewing throughout the European Union. You can't explain it, but you can feel it. That concerns me.

Great stuff Marty. You deserve a good rig. Glad to hear you bit the bullet so to speak. I also had a good look at the 5700 AMD but ended up going Nvidia 2600 Super. I did get a 3600 GPU which is a step down from yours but will do me ok Be keen to hear how it goes.

There were many pranks pulled on Chuck, that is what some of those unusual test aircraft were such as the flying flap jack and the flying saucer(that is 2 out of 9). Chuck's P51 Mustang is his 2nd favorite aircraft, his favorite is the SR71. Blackbird.

Charl! I spend far too much time every night, in bed, contemplating the mysteries of the Universe! The dual Timegate Thrusters are still warm on my Inter-galactic Space Fighter on the bedroom floor after fighting off advancing Aliens attacking the planet Zorg in the belt of Orion when I wake up each morning! Such a vivid imagination... :wink2: ... :wink2: ...! Paul.... :uk: ....with some Star Dust... :D ...!

Yeah your right Marty pretty much all companies now are happy to sign u up and suck out that $$$ huh. Have you had a play with Gimp? Not sure exactly how much you need to do photos wise but TBH altho Photoshop is amazing for most mere mortals is way overkill. Check out Gimp, it's free, I've been using it for many years...

Of greater import to my flightsim world, today I got the HP Reverb G2 going at last. It is waay better than the Rift S. I shall report my further delight in due course. Please do, especially what you had to do to get it working, via Steam or other, comparison to others you've tried, etc. I plan to hire one for a week with specific intent of PsD v4.5 to trial, but if it's a 'go-er' would plan use with MSFS (which I don't own yet). My last attempt with the Vive Pro was 'ok', but I felt the resolution wasn't there yet for various reasons - my reports of that experiment are elsewhere in these...

My overwhelming problem is... I have a very large house crammed full of various Computer Hardware and Software, computer games, controls, and Manuals, publications, etc, dating from the late 1970s/early 1980s to the present. Nothing ever gets thrown away...EVER! My house is full of EVERYTHING... ...which worries all my Children in how to get rid of it all, after my demise! Paul...in Aladins Cave... :uk: .... ....! P.S. Mention; Sinclair Spectrum 48K, Commodore C64, Amstrad CPC464, Amiga 500 and 1200, etc...and I am your man!... :D ..!

A Clump of Cygnets... has a ring to it don't you think? I am still trying to get a flying clip of my little Kingfisher friend. So far he has used up an entire memory card. Charl, that's a lovely photo.

Hello Paul - this happened in 2014, about 30 years after the OH&S legislation was enacted. Sad, unfortunate news, Mike. I must say, in all my years as an Electrician, (and beyond), I have never suffered an electric shock... ..I've fallen out of bed, toppled off my Motorcycle, and missed the toilet bowl a few times... ...but never touched a live 240/440 volt power line! We; "Sparks" get to appreciate the dangers in advance!.... ...! "Elf 'n Safety"...Heaven, (or whatever), help a tradesman/woman caught up a ladder without a work mate standing on the bottom...

Competency must be there obviously but I feel that some C+T captains expect perfection after (in the rotary world) three hours in the seat. Just not a realistic target. I bumble my way through the ground school most of the time and it's when I take the machine out by myself that the real learning starts. I'm hopeless at retaining numbers so to be honest, I don't give a rats what the TOT red line is on the LTS 101 in the BK... because I know what it looks like on the gauge. That sort of thing. After time in the aircraft, that information starts to sink in.
