I saw it at about 9.25 as it crossed half the sky then disappeared into clouds- much faster than an aircraft and just looked like a bright star, although no other stars were out at that time. This was the 2nd time I've seen it in about a year and it's still pretty impressive!

QUOTE Ditto above. I feel a lot better now, when I spend a whole week editing up a pathetic little 5 minute movie, the urge doesn't return for at least a month or so. That equates to no more than 10 movie clips a year, and it's reasonably depressing. But when you hear the time it might actually take, it gives hope! If you make a movie by yourself then its obviously quite hard to make a full feature movie, 5 minutes is a good length for 1 person to make a good movie though. The main reason It took me so long was the fact that a lot of the shots were computer generated. I...

Yay! adjusting the mic worked... I tested it last weekend and it seemed to be working OK albeit with the aircraft on ground and engine off... but by messing with the squelch on the intercom, the voice activation appeared to 'shut off' as it should... I also got my NR-10 earphones... tested them out (plugged into mp3 player) mowing the lawns... worked just as well (if not better) than my normal ear protectors, plus i got to listen to music ;) So the finished Mark I unit looks something like this: still needs some tidy up work (heatshrinking and redoing some of the wiring)... but it...

QUOTE (Mattnz @ Dec 9 2007, 11:32 PM) Ooh, do you have some stories to tell us here, Alex :D But yes, I see what you mean about those safes looking very much like microwaves  ...do the guests also have a microwave in their room, or is the safe the only way of heating (or trying to heat) the food :ph43r: ? Well its funny, you can never think of these things when you are put on the spot, but if something comes to mind then I'll post it. ;) It would depend on the room types the Hermitage has (I've never been in there - though have been around it etc), and whether the person...

QUOTE (victor_alpha_charlie @ Dec 6 2007, 04:16 PM) How do I go online? It says you need a Gamespy account but I could only find out how to register with a Gamespy subscription that costs money. I'm sure as hell not spending any more on this game. <_< Go here , and click on the very small "No thanks, I want to register and get the Basic Ad-supported Arcade." text at the bottom of the page. :wink2: Alex
