Thanx for the comments guys. Ian, I am planning to head over on Sunday, see you there hopefully. Jimmy, thanx for the suggestion re Thai, will have to talk to our travel organiser and get on the BKK flight next time (am heading back there in April by the looks). And yeah we had a great time once the work was over, the conference venue had its own skifield which we used one afternoon for free, then on the weekend we went up to Hemesdal ski field for two days of glorious packed powder action. Was great fun, even tho the temp was down around -25 most of the time /blink.gif style=...

I was flying in the vicinity of Hampten Downs on that Sunday and saw a whole heap of Wardbird aircraft heading overhead- the Mustang just took off as I landed back at Ardy around 4pm ish- sounded beautiful! Also, does anyone know what car show was on this long weekend just gone? There tons and tons of classic old American beasts out around East Auckland, wondered if they were heading to the 4's and Rotary thing at Greenlane?

QUOTE (victor_alpha_charlie @ Jan 26 2010, 02:36 AM) It makes sense. Assuming it is 20km out of town it is probably in a 100km/h zone, so stopping and having a second look before pulling out would be my preferred choice rather than getting t-boned by 42 tonnes of truck at 95km/h.. yeah, but people like me live on roads that have stop signs at the ends even though they connect to either a metal dirt road or another rural not busy road (Whakamarama Rd) /sad.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :( border= 0 alt= sad.gif /> meh, ill just have to follow the law wont i /pirate.gif...
