I am surprised how light and easy they do work and appears wind gusts have no affect on them which is a main prob with the very light RC models .

If Police won't do it call in noise control .. when they keep re-affending this outfit is surpose to take the boom box's and sterio's away .. then when they 'the idiots' don't like it and start trouble the noise control call the police for protection .. if this happen regularly they will not get the equipment back . be the last of them .. repeat offending , noise control is the back door to have the police remove them or least put a flag on the property .

QUOTE (Splitpin @ Oct 6 2012,10:06 PM) I was watching a couple of plovers having a go at a hawk today...... amazing. Their turn rate is up there with the flanker, and hawk was doing well too. As i said before , i could watch birds for hours ...... put bread and rice out most nights and enjoy the antics of the blackbirds and starlings , then the waxeyes come help the sparrows clean up. Its not a bad deal really, they eat the stuff i put out and in return they (blackbirds) get the slugs and snails off my vege's and the waxy's nip over and clean up the roses (aphids)....... just...

QUOTE (steelsporran @ Dec 9 2011,1:35 PM) I guess you could work out the miniatures proportionally from the full size rule: 1st ribbon 1 1/2 " long and everything level at the bottom after that. There's a place on the corner of Kinross St and Sutherland Terrace, they're in the yellow pages. Why not get them Court Mounted? That way the mounter will provide new ribbons for all of them.

QUOTE (cowpatz @ Sep 8 2012,2:39 PM) Marty for what it is worth I inquired as to the cost of a screen replacement at a place that does phone repairs in San Francisco . I thought that it may be cheaper to repair there but it is actually quite pricey at US$300 plus tax. Thanks very much CP , I can live with it at the moment , but I'll have do something soon. Its still works fine, its just the fact thats its so new ..... oh well .

Last time I had the pleasure of a kick-ass "man's" thunderstorm was 1979 in Costa Rica. We were living in San Jose (captial) which, if I remember rightly, is at either 3,000 or 5,000 ft above sea level. We used to joke that the storms never happened OVER the city but IN it. The thunder was so loud that it would violently rattle glass panes and would had to shout very loudly to be heard. And they weren't these 5 or 10 minute wonders - they would last an hour, easily. And the rain - never seen rain like that: so thick it looked like a grey curtain moving down the road. I...

Yep, Deane, it saddens me a bit to be honest- America has such great potential....and that potential can be realised in positive (i.e. scientific endeavor) or negative ways (i.e. war mongering). It seems as if the latter has taken a bit more of a priority in the last 30 years (not that they are totally mutually exclusive mind you). Imagine that though: Standing on a different celestial body, looking back at earth....I'm sure it would be a crazy mix of exhilaration, emotion and a bit of fear!
