Yeah, tax eh, what a joy. My problem was always that my income was so variable, but these days it's 100% Superann. You can change the tax code on your superann, from memory, my tax rate on super was higher in the first couple of years, while almost nothing from the business, so I invariably got a refund. Of course if you plan to retire in the next year, then not really worth it. But maybe you'll just keep at it, some people do. If we were going to get political, I could go on and on....

Cheers, Dean. I think that in 5000 years when civilization starts to recover, they'll dig up our cities and freak out at the amount of metal that we carried around inside our bodies. That and silicon. I think they will also look back at treatments like chemotherapy as barbaric, as we did with bloodletting and the use of arsenic in the medical profession of the past.

My feelings exactly, Mike. Every time that I look at our lovely old Moon, I realise that our Lump of Rock would be a totally different, barren place, without her wonderful companionship. ...and now some annoying arseoles are intent on cocking it all up for everything on our Planet Earth and all that it contains. It's what Human Beings are hell-bent on doing! ...which is why I love all my Garden Birds! ...and now Planet Mars is in sight, for all the busy-bodies to make a Pigs-ear of it..as they do...! Paul....Leaving stuff alone.... ....!

All cats have at least two homes/food sources/can openers depending on how they view humans. They are devilish cunning, too. A friend of my sister belled her cat to stop it killing birds. Unfortunately she used an open bell instead of a closed one...A couple of days later she got a photo of the animal in full pounce, one paw outstretched with claws armed, and the other on the bell so the clapper wouldn't move. Bye-bye birdie

Ahhh yes based on the book by Neville Shute. My parents both loved all his books. You're right Rob, it is very relevant these days. The more I read about Ancient Rome for example, the more I'm seeing the world as it is today, politicly at least...nothing is new in some form or another. What a self entitled , destructive species we are...and going nowhere fast.
