Jeepers Creepers Cpeers , what a jaunt, and as well as all the sights, some quality time with family. I hope you get rid of that cold . Regarding the 5kgs, don't worry skipper, you're looking pretty good from here . Great post, thanks for taking the time.

Many places worldwide have recognised it's no fun for anyone to have a succession of tourist bombs dropped in your sleepy village. A tourist fee might discourage some, but at the very least there's some money to be dropped in the local economy. I guess there's some kind of balance to be found - I'm all for a tourist annual quota. Omaka 25 sounds like fun... :plane:

 Yeah, and why's the hopper standing open, gathering moisture?? Questions, questions... Sad actually that ORBX never listened to the cries from the user base, to implement a fertiliser drop effect ;)

Charl, a few years back a booking through them was quite casually cancelled, a week or so before my flight. I would rather not deal with them at all. Maybe I should have done what I do with Abebooks - use their search facility but contact the seller direct for a price. I once bought a book for a young niece. By the time Visa had charged for the book, the postage and the currency conversions as individual purchases, rather than including it all as one transaction, the various fees were twice the cost of the book . Bloody robbers.

Happened to see this pop up in my feed live on the weekend, shot from a boat out off the coast, so caught some of the Osprey action, some ferocious F18/22/35 fly-bys too

everything is difficult, and I keep forgetting how I just did something... A huge benefit of moving to Blender is that I get to exercise my brain, and get to recall a lot of swear words from the old GMAX days. They say the absolute best way to ward off Alzheimer's is to flex the brain into something new and uncomfortable! Great post, and links that I am going to fall for at some point. What got me initially interested was that you can use Blender on its own, just to do MSFS repaints! (No Photoshop which really excites me as Adobe is on my Utterly Evil nix list.) We could have a Friday coffee...

For those few who might've missed the show... :D Searching YouTube for exercise pitch black 2024 will yield a whole day's worth of watching. I spent time on Day 1 Flying Ops which has good close-up footage The Mitsubishi F-2 is interesting, essentially a Japanese knockoff of the F-16, hence known as Viper-zero. It's slightly bigger too, I reckon it looks Da Bizzness.

And they do it in real time, they must have brains like dolphins, that can sleep with one eye open... It's a great talent and with brains like that they would probably make excellent musicians and mathematicians - not to mention codebreakers. Bletchley Park loved to recruit people like this.

Marty, I was only three-and-a-bit in 1952, but the aircraft on display were ones I grew up with. One memory is hearing on the morning news that the Fairey Delta had set a new world speed record of 1140 mph. That made me want to be a test pilot  There is a passing reference to John Derry losing his life at the 1952 airshow, but of course the crash would not have been released for public viewing. This is what happened: I have an old book (published 1969) titled 'Aircrash Detective', about the evolution of air safety. The point is made there that from a crowd of over 100,000, only one...
