Very odd. It will be interesting to see what happens to all the carbon fibre in the airframe. It’s not recyclable as far as I know.

I actually experienced something close when on board an ATR, landing at Krakow a few years back. Thankfully he went around.. My GPS uses me as a mule: sends me on a route not of my choosing, I strongly suspect so it can tell everyone else NOT to use it!

Love your subject of 60s - 70s RAF jets...do you have or plan any similar era Royal Navy aircraft? Yeah I just love that era of aviation. Got a Jaguar and Buccaneer now too but both will need new decals for what I want to do. I do love British naval aviation but I drew the line at the RAF, at least for the moment. The main reason is space and the colour requirements for naval aircraft. The last thing I want to do is have to paint a Buccaneer all over white :wacko: Maybe if I went down the airbrushing route later on, I would look at Royal Navy aircraft.

Yes, it’s getting way beyond a joke now. Some serious damage being done. I was hoping Feb would see a change but it is still terrible. Relentless rain and wind. That image was "the last one" I shot of an RNZAF P-3K2 .... and "it just happened to be" NZ4201 which was "the first" of the type to be delivered to the RNZAF back in 1968.
