I have a money Box. I could've sworn there was a Roman coin in there. Meantime I'll see your Roman coin, and raise you 250 Roubles. Not quite 2023 338 -------- 1685 years old, but kinda exotic. The older notes tend to be the size of small blankets.

Very odd. It will be interesting to see what happens to all the carbon fibre in the airframe. It’s not recyclable as far as I know.

I actually experienced something close when on board an ATR, landing at Krakow a few years back. Thankfully he went around.. My GPS uses me as a mule: sends me on a route not of my choosing, I strongly suspect so it can tell everyone else NOT to use it!

Hello Lads and Lasses! A big day today for me, 2nd March 2023, as I celebrate my 89th Birthday with yet another massive home-prepared and cooked Dinner with a glass (or three) of Pale Cream Sherry! I'm still riding my trusty motorcycle every day (weather permitting) to keep me in a happy 2-wheeled mood...(73+ years now!)! One of my many rides the other day...>>> Enjoy! Mr Spock to Captain James T Kirk... "It's Life, Jim...as I know it! .... ... ...! Take care, all! Paul...on 2-wheels!... ...! ...and all my other 2-wheeled stuff...with added cooking!... ....

Love your subject of 60s - 70s RAF jets...do you have or plan any similar era Royal Navy aircraft? Yeah I just love that era of aviation. Got a Jaguar and Buccaneer now too but both will need new decals for what I want to do. I do love British naval aviation but I drew the line at the RAF, at least for the moment. The main reason is space and the colour requirements for naval aircraft. The last thing I want to do is have to paint a Buccaneer all over white  Maybe if I went down the airbrushing route later on, I would look at Royal Navy aircraft.

If you stream Tidal, you can get the lyrics with the song. Good for those who sing out their nose. I had always heard: "Tiger Lovin' Blues"

Yes, it’s getting way beyond a joke now. Some serious damage being done. I was hoping Feb would see a change but it is still terrible. Relentless rain and wind. It will be hot and sunny briefly, giving short respite to those trying to dry out homes, but then sets in again. No idea when this will end. I just wish these “blocking” highs would stall over us and not the Chathams. Come South CP .....28C , high overcast (broken) and a light nor west.

That image was "the last one" I shot of an RNZAF P-3K2 .... and "it just happened to be" NZ4201 which was "the first" of the type to be delivered to the RNZAF back in 1968. Living just over the river from RNZAF Base Whenuapai (since 1962) I'll miss the sight and sound of these things around the circuit :( Mark C AKL/NZ
