I disagree, Im doing my flight training at WN and while its busy, you really learn to think and act fast when you have an A320 bearing down on you! After doing 40 hours around WLG, I flew over to Omaka to do some x country and it was a comparative breeze in terms of not having to be so concerned about traffic. I think every aistrip has its good and bad points, the only thing with WN is that it doesnt have a grass vector to do short field on. I have heard good and bad things about Kapiti, the bad things were actually about the instructors.

next thing you'll buy an airline ticket to london, and you'll get transported inside a shipping container. :o and to further de-rail this thread, according to Maddox, the itunes licence agreement states that you're not allowed to use the products for the design or manufacture of nuclear weapons...

Cool video, the Vulcan is my Dad's favourite aircraft as he has told me he used to watch them flying around real low at an airbase in Linconshire, England when he was younger. He took me to the RAF Henderson (In London) mesueum to go inside one a few years back too- love the HP V series!

The U.S. Navy's "Advanced Super Hornet" will tie together an electronic attack system with a powerful new radar that would allow the aircraft to find, deceive and, perhaps, disable sophisticated, radar-guided air-to-air, surface-to-air and cruise missiles. Moreover, it could do so at ranges greater than that of new U.S. air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons. Silence about these key features of the Super Hornet's advanced radar and integrated sensor package is being broken by U.S. Navy and aerospace industry officials just as the President's budget faces scrutiny by...

Its interesting because I think that the H300 is quite a daunting ship compaired to the R22, Ive flown both, while the 300 is slightly easier to fly, the R22 is the better training machine. You can actually use the 300 for more things because the 3 blade system makes it more stable when you have loads on board. The R22 can barely be used with a sling load. Choppers definatly require more skill to fly than fixed wing.

Surely the best plane in AFS' fleet no? One advantage is it doesn't actually have Ardmore Flying School written on it anyway so you can always pretend that it's your own plane when you turn up at some out of the way airfield. :P hahaha, thats the reason u try and take it away to places where you'll be seen in it.... Yeah the best plane in our fleet by far....... even though its cursed........ no more shall be spoken of the curse....

My Dad told me ages ago there was an f-111 doing low passes at gisborne, And when I say low i mean 2 meters any way it pulled up and also one of the signs got ripped from the ground becuase they are so powerful  In the Gulf war its rumored that an F111 brought down a Mig29 by flying too low and kicking up stones into its intake while it was getting chased. IMO the lowest flying I've ever seen is by RNZAF Skyhawk pilots they actually can fly lower than Aussies in NZ.

Wow Naki you back in Tauranga already? I caught a ride in a F-111 and it stopped in Tauranga :D - nahh I stopped at a mates place in South Auckland and logged on while I was there. I have a few photos as well but it might be a few days until I get them posted - the ones already here are better quality than mine. Cheers
