Actually the search function isn't enabled at the moment, so its running thru Google => which is updated infrequently (in forum terms). ah yeah thats right, "search", was just a short way of saying to look back threw the the fourm for old posts on the same sunject (in this particular case quite a few posts on the subject!)

Yip, I find mainly the Flight instructors forum and the Private flying forums useful. Often when you're looking for info it's best to use the topic search.

My experiance with Air New Zealand International has been positive and Negative. Few months ago we flew to London via Los Angeles in Economy Class the flight was not the best from Auckland to LAX and as for the gestapo in the paranoid USA well dont go there. I dont take much notice of inflight entertainment as I have discovered a row that has a advantage to it ;) namely get either B or J you get a window seat with no seat at the window B) . Now this was my problem because even though I pre booked that seat some mouthy American was given it. The result was I was stuck in front of a screen with...

SLR means Single Lens Reflex....the same lense is used for focusing and capturing the image so whatever you see through the viewfinder is what the storage medium sees (whether its film or a CCD in a digital camera) I want a digital SLR....so cool for taking photos. As an aside, if you told me that first shot was a screen shot i would have believed you.....its scary how that line is blurred sometimes.

They have that added zing about them more than C-cats, like they really love instructing and they're there for more than just hour building to get to an airline job. She was absolutely full of tips and tricks too  She said I did really well with the checks, better than most people do when they're going solo which was strange as I've always sucked at the checks, I guess I can put it down to the mneumonic help I got ;) I let her know that I wasn't quite ready to go solo, and she said that was fine and we went up and she...
