QUOTE (SeanTK @ Feb 10 2014,9:25 AM) This type of aircraft fits in perfectly with the type of regional flying I really enjoy. The Heron also appears a bit smaller than I expected for a four-engine aircraft, which will be good for getting into those smaller strips. Smaller strips and almost farm strips after the fun trip I had in a Devon as a bag spuds /biggrin.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :D border= 0 alt= biggrin.gif /> .... actually two bag's of spuds , i invited Rick my brother along .. wicked two two hours .

QUOTE (SeanTK @ Feb 8 2014,2:51 PM) Check their "incomings" page: Also a Piper Sport and a Cessna 195, with the latter coming very soon. Still haven't purchased the 172RG yet, but am strongly considering it since I have real world experience on it. I know it was patched recently, so I may finally get it this weekend. I just got the RG , just to watch those crazy legs at work . Sean , the 195 looks amazing , that will be a must have .

Although I'll never have an Ipad (IPad?), it is easy to see the potential here -- even on my sub $200 Windows phone it is amazing how much can fit into a tiny little device. It would definitely make a great GPS. (It is a perfectly usable car navigation system already.) I just need to wait until there's a lot more apps available.

I think the 2.1 patch will be a game changer judging by the very extensive fixes list and should hopefully bring a lot more over to the cause. Yes, they are issuing a slipstreamed patch for 2.0 as well as an updated full 2.1 installer.

QUOTE (Scupper @ Jan 22 2014,7:19 PM) The high-res is nice, especially from some altitude. I always struggle with CBDs (pic 2) at low altitude though when a small number of 3D buildings have been plonked onto 2D photo textures, specially if the framerate drops low. I actually think pic 2 looks very unrealistic, - the 3D buildings have no shadows, - why would they use a shot like that in a promotion? I have P3d2, but I think FSX can do building shadows, can't it? /unsure.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= unsure.gif /> The frame rate will be higher...

QUOTE Given that ASN is supposed to create mechanical turbulence based on terrain goemetry, it will be interesting. Imagine if it could do this: (would post the pics but they're on the different websites and not sure about copyright...) The Barber is a katabatic wind that flows down the Grey Valley on occasions and chills the bejesus out of the poor residents of Greymouth. Must look awesome from a plane though.

QUOTE (Scupper @ Jan 12 2014,8:20 PM) Ian, yes, it seems like if you have already bought it you just need to download it again and the triple installer will be available /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif /> . Think they are just making sure they are calming me down ... /unsure.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= unsure.gif />
