I will say that even if FTX Norway is a bit dissapointing for me (until the addon sceneries are addressed), I am enjoying the Seneca V by Carenado that I purchased at the same time. The glass panel is quite enjoyable, and the amount of info I can pull up certainly makes things easy. Just did the GPS Runway 29 approach into NZWU, and it went flawlessly!

QUOTE (gojozoom @ Oct 23 2014,11:58 AM) Hi guys, I know that this is not directly Flightsim related, however it has a huge potential for us: Thinking: clip-less headtracking, scenery object placement by hand (in 3D),etc, etc Dan Yeah, so Kinect for Windows has been out for years - it was a "Kinect v2.0" effectively - think the XBox 360 version but much higher resolution, and twice the price. It never took off, but damn did it have potential. The Original XBox 360 Kinect could be used with PCs also, as long as you had either the very early ones with separate power supply and...

QUOTE (MichaelBasler @ Nov 17 2014,4:34 AM) There are differing opinions on this. Some call it terrible some great. I am quite content with it but miss moving waves from far above the sea. Add the fact that numerous people don't actually use P3D water textures but REX ones. And add the fact that P3D water is quite sensitive to the simulator options (being more extended than in FSX). Moreover, as far as I understand, FSWC doesn't modity textures at all but shaders. The feature I really liked when I used FSWC 3..5..? years ago in FSX was just its configurability. Kind regards,...

Nick , One thing I have always .. simply said its the way to go ... is photo-real - you flying these region and areas , you would have the same thoughts in your brain case to no exactly were you are , and there are so many incoming scenery's photo real that will fit and fill the gap.

While photoing the insides I noticed the cowl flap controls missing, it stumped us both, so 'Barf' at RNZAF Wigram Museum dug up this information. The outside fix “All of the DC3s that I flew (P&W R-1830s) had fixed cowls, it was explained to me as a young sprog that - (1) The variable cowl flap system was unreliable, erratic, and required a lot of maintainance, and (2) Unnecessary in the Temperate / Tropical conditions in which we operated, with the fixed 'optimised' setting. The latter was true, we rarely had any CHT problems. Only once did I ever see the use of...

Alister I believe all models have there pro's and con's PMDG is definitely the price that hits the con button, realistically when you think about a 737-200 will be the same as a 737-200 , current one one special from Deans PC-aviator, same with the 747, a lot also depends on your system and how might handle it, I currently don't have the PMDG 747 on the PC, simply have not installed it yet .... again /rolleyes.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= rolleyes.gif />

QUOTE (MichaelBasler @ Oct 20 2014,4:53 AM) Are you definite about this? I didn't explore all the features, however, I think you can create new flight plans with the "Flight Plan Tools" with "New". You have to select Departure/Destination airport from the dropdown lists. You can drag and drop an airport from the map into the corresponding field which I find a very clever feature (detected this from the manual). Waypoints can be added from the map, too. I have to confess I have not tried this but at the moment I am using its features to work on some scenery...
