Just downloaded it tonight - took about 2 minutes to download. This is very impressive scenery. Absolutely love the animated waterfalls, animals (and sounds) and the coastlines. FPS is not too bad. Here's Quinton Lodge with Sutherland Falls in background. Went to Big Bay Beach Strip. Interesting machinery here, LOL. Sorry mate, won't need a pushback today.

That has a very long way to go, indeed.... As you say, Charl - Wikipedia will only need to change a few names in this article about the Badgery's Creek schemozzle, when the time comes to report on this one. Mike

The announcements above are definitely encouraging and have answered most of my concerns. My current feeling is depending on how much of an upgrade FS2024 is (and how much of a computer upgrade it might require...) I might just stick with MSFS for a while. I've always been able to keep myself plenty occupied in FS without needing pre-made 'scenarios' but I can see how that is a very logical step to draw in more people who wouldn't otherwise bother with a flight simulator. The apparent AI upgrades are probably what I'm most interested by though since I feel the AI traffic is just about the...

Mind-boggling potential, for sure. Pity the text-to-speech thing for the captions slurred the words in several places. Combine this with the Bing Creator thing, and you could literally scare yourself to death :o

Is it somehow easier to produce scenery for MSFS versus the other legacy sims? I would have thought the opposite given the level of detail and realism. I have a batch of screenshots of Nelson which made me think the same thing. I must remember to post them, there are bits that make you shake your head. However. With the right kind of user base, you can expend plenty of resources in production. And that was back in 2020. When I start the sim I look at the MSFS Marketplace (as intended by MS) and am amazed too. It's what I waited about ten years for, in sim wilderness.

There was a question mark around the 500E, may have been resolved. Be good to get feedback if you do go. Be a good one to get some NZ MSFS paint skills going, too!

Not Hard to believe they're free really as no one is really using P3D and especially FSX these days Certainly not no one Terry !!! but definitely a slippery slope. I for one will be keeping P3D around until all the airliners I like to fly are on MSFS, for now tho it's mainly VFR stuff for me on it

If anyone is interested, Orbx have Flow Pro discounted to NZD $19 this week. It's quite a good customisable rotary menu bar for MSFS 2020.

Can't recall - are you a card-carrying AFS4-er yet, Mike? Not yet, Charl. I will be soon, since 4 is a big improvement on 2. Steam may not be as bad as I thought, but I still don't like unknown third parties being able to change MY computers when it suits them. That's why I am moving to Linux and away from MS. Watch this space <_<

I agree with you on the video deeknow. A mate of mine in Palmerston North is building an RV7 kit (which I think is the tandem seat version of the RV8) The RV-7 is the side-by-side version. The RV-8 is the inlione/tandem version. I'm a bit of a Vans Aircraft fan-boy and keen to see how the new high wing RV-15 works out; certainly looks interesting. Ah my bad there I meant tandem to be side by side not inline. I think it was in the Kitplane mag that I was reading about the RV-15 and it's development, and yes, it does look interesting indeed.
