QUOTE (Alex @ Aug 30 2008, 09:58 PM) Oh, so the trees were fine before you installed Airport Environment? Or have they always been boxed-in? Alex I don't think it's down to that though because I did fly a flight with AEU and it was fine... /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif /> However, after that flight I downloaded the latest driver for my graphics card, I felt it was making my performance worse so I "rolled back" to my previous (original) driver. Then the black boxes started showing... /dry.gif style= vertical-align:middle...

I had problems with it yesterday, and some pages didn't load and when I did searches all the results came up but showed "file cannot be found" or something. Just checked now though and it appears to be working well.

yeah it is less than a month old, in fact a month tomorrow. i am going to take the motherboard in to the shop i brought it from and see if they will replace it, if not a new motherboard here i come!! EDIT: well new motherboard it is, it appears that when the oven blew it sent a surge that the surge protector didn't catch and it fried a couple of capcators that were critical to the system. i have got a new motherboard and am going to be getting a new powersupply that has built in surge protection as well. hope to post some screenshots next week from the new system, now i am back up...

I just tried all that, still hasn't made any difference. The only other system we have in the house hasn't been working for a few weeks now, so I can't test it on that. Well I guess that only leaves one thing left to do.

Are you running vista or XP and there is a site that could help but unsure ,quest3d was proberly the software that made this game so the quest3d viewer mite help found HERE @ this mite help or not but it was designed to run the apps from quest3d builder QUOTE You need this viewer if you want to view projects published with Quest3D 3.0e or lower. Any projects or websites published with Quest3D 3.5 or better do not need a separate viewer if i was you id reinstall it ,works fine for me and installed all the things needed the first time around

Your specs don't look too bad at all. RAM, I can confirm that you will only see 3.5 GB or so of the 4 GB if you went for that much. Just the way 32 bit computing is, nothing much can be done really. I did hear of some experimental thing that expands the memory addressing space or something, but it was buggy and not very good anyway. I think if you've already got XP, then you should just stick with it. If you're going to buy a new copy/license anyway, then it's up to you.

QUOTE (Peppermint @ Aug 15 2008, 12:27 PM) Dragonpc...that's where I got my current pc. Don't think I would go back to them though, the hard drive died only 2 months after I had the computer, still under warrenty, but DragonPC was refusing to fix it for free, eventually got them to fix it, took 3 months to get a harddrive sent down from Auckland though, then it turned out to be the wrong one. We found out that dragonpc never tested all the hardware before handing the computer over, even though we payed for it to be overclocked and left running for a night. Sure is hell better...

QUOTE (Matthew @ Aug 8 2008, 11:51 PM) How did you get on? /icon_question.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :?: border= 0 alt= icon_question.gif /> If its still not working post back here, and post your motherboards name and bios type. It sounds like you need to reflash the BIOS i.e. get an BIOS update off the manufacturers website, and install it into the BIOS. Sorry yeah, I have currently got a new cheap mother board and a new Power Supply and that seems to work. I'm still trying to get my old motherboard to work so I don't have to re install everything!!

Thanks for the links Daniel, forgot about TradeMe. We went to Harvey Normans today and they had the X-530's out, tested them and got the all clear from the brother, so will probably get them. Timmo, thanks for your link too. Although the headphones are too $$ for brothers liking, the cheapest thing you could bundle was $11. By the time you bundle the $70+GST speakers with the $11+GST usb flash drive which we don't need any way it adds up to 90 something bucks and I can get the speakers for $88 on Ferrit so will probably do that. QUOTE (Kahu Project @ May 18 2008, 08:57 PM) The problem begin after I let windows do a disk clean up and it has deleted something I need but i dont know what. You did w-h-a-t?? /winkyy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= ;) border= 0 alt= winkyy.gif /> I never ever let Windows do *anything*! It's kind of typical (looking at the solution) that an Internet BROWSER appears to have core OS files . It's precisely why M$oft were *forced* to separate applications from the OS. Grrrrr. I refuse to install any Windows Media Player "upgrades" for this sort of...

I should have added that I also shifted my NZ Topo up to 2nd on the list.... I have no doubts that this may not work for everyone, however the results were dramatic for me and must have reduced my loading-up time by about 9/10ths. Just in case anyone else is experiencing this type of slow start-up, it may be worth a go....it's only a five minute try-on. /winkyy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= ;) border= 0 alt= winkyy.gif />

The TH2GO units are really good /biggrin.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :D border= 0 alt= biggrin.gif /> The compatibility with nVIDIA cards is almost perfect really, but with ATI its not very good, as you're finding out the hard way /sad.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :( border= 0 alt= sad.gif /> I've got one myself, I use a nVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT which runs really well with FS9. Use the compatibility wizard here to sort out what resolutions and sizes you should be getting with your graphics card. The full graphics card compatibility list is here, with the...
