As I understand it... they're USB... so should just be able to plug in and go like any other USB device... as Mike mentioned, it might pay to disable the axis assignments on the CH yoke... Note: I don't, I just reassigned them so I use the levers on the yoke for things like steering tiller, park brake, spoilers etc...

Oh, ok. Stutters in FS2004 are more likely to be related to hard-disc use, or CPU use. Does the drive light flicker when it stutters? It may be useful to look at one of the tools to shut down other processes when simming. Keeping your hard-drive defragged is the one single thing which keeps my stutters down to a minimum, but your results may be different.

QUOTE (Adamski @ Nov 26 2008, 10:16 PM) Yay!!! Has the AI managed to clip that perimeter fence yet? Otherwise, *it just ain't realistic*!!! /laugh.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= laugh.gif /> Only saw an American Airlines 757 takeoff. Weird thing was it was holding and I was already on the runway. It requested permission to take off and was told to hold due to me being on runway. I requested permission to take off and was told to hold and wait for the 757... I decided to pull off the runway and shoot down the other end to watch...

What we need to remember is that Vista and XP are like FS9 and FSX in a way- they both work differently on different computers. You hear nightmare tales of people trying to use Vista/FSX, but just as many of them working perfectly on other systems that aren't necessarily any higher specced. It just comes down to whatever works for you.

QUOTE (pilotgallagher01 @ Nov 5 2008, 07:20 PM) Hmm,I got these the other day and found no difference. Guys make sure you remove your old ones first before installing these new ones. Very important. Used to be the case, but I don't see mention of this any more. It was a real pain to have to strip back to vanilla VGA, restart, re-install etc etc This time I asked the Nvidia website to scan my computer, recommend and download the latest driver, and install!

I have been using a CH yoke and pedals for my setup for years, simply because when I bought them they were the only things on the market! They've been great but are about 8 years old and getting a little 'tired'. I like the look of the Saitek yoke over the CH as it looks more like what you would expect to see in a real aircraft. The little yoke mounted digital clock is a great addition for timed IFR approaches! Elite and PFC make some pretty cool stuff if you've got the budget! GoFlight also has some interesting options to look at. It all depends on your personal...

Here is one of the systems I have been considering (its pretty much reflective of other systems I have looked at) HP DC7100 Gaming + Graphics Workstation P4-3.4Ghz -Pentium 4-3Ghz Processor with 2GB RAM, 160Gb Hard Drive, DVD Writer -4 x SATA ports, 1 x 16xPCI-E Graphics Card Slot, 2 x PCI, 1 x Mini PCI-E slot, 4 x DDR Memory Slots -ATI X1600D 256mb card (yeah not great, but not a bad start) -Licence: XP Home Edition **Add $50 for XP Pro** -Six month warranty This is on a buy now for $495, which seems to be roughly right allowing for no shipping (as its a Christchurch company). Its...

QUOTE (2fst4u @ Oct 27 2008, 08:30 PM) :( ferrit doesnt have that board. im not really looking to overclock so if it doesnt really matter, will any of these ones be ok? 'Ferrit' doesn't really have anything -- that's just Telecom's attempt to lever their web penetration by skimming a percentage off the top of existing web traders. When you look at that Ferrit page, you'll see the actual merchant listed -- for example, Computer Lounge and Elive. If you go to the 'Retailer Profile' you normally get a link to their real website.

Thanks, I tried the CCCP codec pack, installed it, and even used their player, and it still don't work /sad.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :( border= 0 alt= sad.gif />. I had installed Windows Media 9 earlier to fix it as well. I'm not sure what it is doing it, but even movies I know were recorded in color are showing up in B&W - in all 3 players.

Yeah... I looked at the RA Utility thing and it has the option to use RAConfig or Zero Config... go with Zero Config as that is the builtin windows one and (surprisingly) actually works!! /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif /> Glad you got it sorted...

You can always just buy another HDD and put that in the PC and load it onto that.
