Its a funny old do.. ...but I've always used various PC's since the early 1980's....8-bit, 16-bit, 32-bit, building and modifying them as necessary, to suit the particular programs I run at the time! Each of these upgrades has spread the cost over a number of years, which suits me fine... ..but the thought of spending $1500+ on a single; "Laptop"... /ohmy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :o border= 0 alt= ohmy.gif /> ...is something I would not contemplate, at the moment, even if I could afford such a huge sum of money! Got it sorted. You were correct, it was in the .air file. Slight change to the fuselage area & drag. Set it to achieve a max of 125k at level flight. It redlines at 135k going downhill.

My (Year 2005) Dell Dimension 5000 BTX Tower Computer is fitted as standard with a 320 Watt PSU, and 6600 GT Card, and although I would have liked to replace it with a 9800 GT Card, its power consumption would have drastically overload the PSU, so I was restricted to the much lower power requirements of my present 9500 GT Card (which does the job admirably). Always check the recommended power requirements of your selected graphics card against the size (Watts) of your fitted PSU! You can also open and load your REX after you have FSX open and it will load the weather and activate it in FSX may take a couple of minutes before it activates though

QUOTE (dart15 @ Feb 19 2013,2:33 PM) Thanks Doug - and it wont matter that it is restored to a different drive as far as locating the fsx.cfg and any other links are required? It picks it up on the new drive as it is a clone of the original drive providing that you disable the original drive otherwise you will have 2 HDDs with the same program on them. recovering to a new HDD from a full backup is like cloning it to the new HDD.

I installed a separate Acceleration disk yesterday over the top of a Deluxe version just so that Nemeth Design Heli's would work. All went well. I had to uninstall Service Pack 2 but there was a prompt and instructions how to do that.

Hi, I have good news, I fixed it! I had to remove some random shader I installed for FSX, but I unfortunately cant remember the name of it. I also updated Shockwave_3D_Lights Redux by returning to the installer...either one could have been the problem. Thanks for the help!

Thank you for your replies. I seem to have fixed the problem by deleting the entire FSX folder (that contains fsx.cfg) but I will do some more testing to see if that has really fixed the problem.
