Well I was about to come on here and post that I've had no problems with it yet, no BSOD, no sudden crashes etc though still haven't done a proper stress/stability test. However when I booted this morning I came in to find it sitting on the boot screen with a message 'Overclocking failed, press F1 to go to the BIOS menu'. I was a little surprised by this but have gotten past it and booted windows, ran wPrime and CPUZ again and it would appear that it's been downclocked to 4.8ghz (auto down clock or is this the failed 4.9 clock?). Who knows. A quick google search brought up...

After some thought I've decided to be safer and make a wiser choice, I don't think I'll be stuffing in such high-end things in a case that I'm already unsure about with how effective it will be getting air around. I already have a full tower case (HAF X) with still pretty decent parts. I think instead what I'll do in the meantime is pickup a good CPU cooler (looking at a high end air cooler or possible going for a closed loop Corsair H70 type) and trying to overclock it up to 4.2ghz at least. Just a matter of finding a 'How to overclock for dummies' guide...

I've just done a quick check of NZAA at dusk and this does seem to be the way it is. I don't think this is a fault, but it does show up more on aircraft with a very low view angle -- such as the trike. I'd just raise the view a bit at larger airports, just to put yourself above the lights if it annoys you.

QUOTE (scaber @ Apr 15 2013,12:31 PM) I remember that there was a new version of FSUIPC released earlier this year which fixed some problems, can't remember what they were but that could be worth a try - assuming that you are already using FSUIPC of course! Another easy try is to ensure that you as a user have been given full access to all the FSX files as that can sometimes cause strange issues to arise. Not much help I suspect but still worth a try if you are at your wits end! I'm running the latest version of FSUIPC and I am the administrator. Thanks for the...

If you are install scenery , to activate simply click in the dialogue box , not on a specific scenery name then press enter and away you should go . What ORBX scenery are you trying to install anyways ?

Frame rates 50-60 FPS!... /blink.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= blink.gif /> ...! I would recommend that you LOCK the Frame Rate to 20-25 FPS Max. to relieve the stress on all the hardware! You will get a much SMOOTHER ride, that way! Paul....FS 2004...locked at 20 FPS....Joy!.... /biggrin.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :D border= 0 alt= biggrin.gif /> ...!

QUOTE (Ian Warren @ Apr 8 2013,11:56 AM) Gary , i have FSX on my i5 and it run the AerosoftA320 Extended on the laptop no problems /winkyy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= ;) border= 0 alt= winkyy.gif /> Actually, I don't have much in the way of add-in aircraft, except the Aerosoft F-16 and one or two other minor ones. Mostly looking for whatever realism I can get for the Alpha 160 and local area scenery. Only time it really slows is heavy clouds and lights at dusk / dawn. Otherwise it is fine. I have done absolutely no 'go fast' tweaks of any sort, either on the...

I had issues with Airhauler auto starting FS for me so I turned the option off. I found if I started FS manually then it was more stable with my FS hardware........ its been quite sometime since I last ran Airhauler. You could try manually starting FS and load the default flight. Once everything is loaded and stable try opening the Airhauler situation file and then turn on Airhaulers FS monitoring. And I agree with Ian, Airhauler was great for its time but there are features which need more refinement. Rex Latitude is supposedly the next big evolution in 'Hauler or 'mission' based...

Hi sorry for slow reply but i have been night flying this week so not really been on the computer. The entry you are after is HighMemFix=1 Ensure the above entry is in your FSX.CFG file under the sub heading. This should help with black or disappearing panels when using a graphics card with 1GB or greater RAM, especially when swithing views or going from windowed to full screen mode.

QUOTE (AlisterC @ Apr 1 2013,5:06 AM) Hi Phil, is this what you are missing? Pictured is ifly FSX v3.1 Airac cycle 1301 pictured, but I've just installed 1302 and looks the same, no problems. Seems fine on my PC anyway! Hi Alister, I ended up doing a complete re-install of the iFly 73, all the nav data was there right up to version 3.1.1. Then I installed Airac Cycle 1303 and then 1303V3 and this is what I get. I have deleted my 1302 thinking that I would not need it anymore. Any ideas ? Cheers Phil
