Yep, they were a "feature" of Lawrie's freeware airfields (personally, I edited this information out with AFCAD; provinces haven't been official since the early C20th, but I recognise it makes it easier for non Kiwis to know where they are).

I think FSGenesis has been made obsolete by FTX Global or NZNI/SI , the package was great and works but some reason the ORBX brand kicks every thing out , this is across the board with most of the older addons .

The only time I was forced to change from my lovely, smooth, FS 2004... (I hate using the term "FS9", 'cos that's not what it says on the box!)...to my FSX, was when my trusty Dell Tower computer with its Intel Pentium 4, dual 2.8 HHz, and its low power requirements nVidia 9500GT Graphics card, finally gave up the ghost on me, resulting in me having to purchase a complete Advent* tower computer with its fast i7 processor, (£600 the lot!)..spec below....suitable to run FSX flat-out! Otherwise the ancient Pentium 4, 2.8, did the job admirably, and smoothly, for FS...

QUOTE (cowpatz @ Aug 23 2014,9:58 AM) How is it that you can buy a new printer cheaper than you can a replacement cartridges? I despair at what a wasteful generation we are...from fast food wrapping (look at the ink and resource used in a simple Macca's meal) to A4 sized cardboard backing for something link a USB flash drive. But I digress... 1994 It cost me $1000 plus for the latest a deskjet, your right - today they are saying "here take it I don't want it" , with drawing and art now found even the print shops have up'd there costing for a printing and is...

Confirming no problems on this combo, or any combo of USB controllers for that matter. They all act and are detected by Windows/Mac as separate control devices. Just go into your FS software or game and configure them there.

Hi Ralph and welcome to NZFF. You will have better luck trying on www.fsdeveloper.com/ What Arno and the other guru's on that site don't know probably isn't really worth knowing. Good luck.

QUOTE (kiwicomm @ Aug 18 2014,12:20 PM) I think I've found the solution: 1. Uninstall Zinertek water (I might be inclined to reinstall it if I want to take some photos only with waves 'frozen', otherwise its 'pulse rate' is just too high, random from all angles, and distracting). 2. Install freeware by a fellow called Andreas Meyer that I got from flighsim.com: wtrtxtrs. He has his own website too. It seems to work well and the appearance of water alone or with REX looks good. It still shows pulsing' in FS 2004 but has somehow overcome the directional...

QUOTE (Eagleeye @ Aug 16 2014,9:25 PM) Fozzer you where right on the money. I turned off 'Ground scenery shadows' and success, no flickering. Thanks a bundle. Any clue on the other problem about the nose plunge on the Orion? I can confirm the tarmac moves down momentarily as well but it happens when I switch views, not when I first go to outside view. I activate this from my Saitek X52 pro but it doesn't happen when I use the keyboard, push 'S' and move round via the number pad. I guess its the X52 that has the problem, I will check the driver for that as well,...

Hi, I'll answer your PM here, as I have an aversion to the PM system... As Michael said, Orbx don't recommend or support trying to install their FSX products into P3D, I assume because there are so many issues to fix. But in your case, I think the problem is that when you activate Oceania in FTXCentral, it also changes NZ to the extent that VLC will no longer work at all, and the result you see -- messed up blue textures etc -- is simply because VLC uses default landclass definitions, which Orbx changes when you switch regions. The problem might be that now FTX Central's Oceania...

QUOTE (NZ255 @ Jul 28 2014,4:50 PM) What do you mean by demo mode? It could be because QN is built with 2 AFCADs. One for GA (QZ) and one for commercial traffic (QN). So depending on the day GSX might select NZQN or NZQZ ^^ DING DING DING ^^ We have a winner. I added a .pye for NZQZ as well as NZQN and presto, NZQN is now working perfectly. It was the double afcad hiccuping it. Thanks for spotting that one. Didn't know they had used two files for that airport.

I have used Avast in the past but I think Kingsoft might just have a few more features such as USB checking.

Be ideal for the non or hate the keyboard type fella or simmer , for the one who dose like the buttons and switch's - cowl flaps for example, DC-3s here in the NZ and in OZ had then removed and riveted, maintenance thing and were not really needed, you may want a transfer option for those switch's, for the ones who love the A2A type B-17 , a four quad throttle system later maybe.
