What I do to avoid jaggies is use ATi Tray Tools, along with my RAdeon 9600XT card. I set up a profile for FS2004 that enables 4X AA, so AA will only occur when FS is running.

Trolly,I did exactly the same-went from 768-1.5gigs RAM,and I have a 2.4gig CPU.it's AMD.I did get a card ATI 9600 PRO with 256 on board RAM at around the same time but I can't remember which I got first. When I say around the same time I mean a few weeks apart.I noticed with the RAM way less stuttering and lockup and a huge increase in being able to run multiple apps, like Teamspeak (that's not very demanding tho)real weather and be on the net downloading stuff all while taking a reasonably demanding flight. Happy Traveler,I agree with everything everyone else says. How much are you...

Are you using VOZ Matt? If so, all I can suggest is try un-vozzing to restore the original textures- perhaps something in your scenery library has been over written by a new addon with higher priority?

Probably best to let Windows update the driver: Connect to the internet, go Start/Control Panel/System/Hardware/Device Manager Scroll down to your sound card, right click, update driver.

H guys, thanks for the advice, however tho I had tried it with the old V7 drivers aswell as the new V9.1.3.1 drivers available now. Neither of which helped. However good news tho, a second reformat and the V7 drivers are holding on ok, tried the V9.1.3.1 again and it locked up, driver roll back fixed that so am stuck with the old drivers by the looks of it  Will try and locate a download of the version prior to 9.1.3.1 tho. Thanks for the replies ***UPDATE*** Problem seems to be linked to Anti Aliasing. If I turn it on on the card, and off in FS, theres th problem, hwoever by turning...

Hi If you press crl alt del and bring up the task manager. go to the "processes" tab and its safe to end all the proceseres runing that have your user name apart from TASKMGR.exe and explorer.exe ...... dnt end anything with "system' or "NETWORK SERVICE" "LOCAL SERVICE" etc etc Only the ones with your user name. I find theres alot of background programs here that i arnt even viris stuff. This seems to imrove performance a bit! :D Give it a try just dont end any processors you suldn't!

And of course you could simply Refresh Scenery. Scroll through "Assignments" and assign say Ctrl-F12. As you hit Auckland and its blurry coastline out of Sydney, press Ctrl-F12, have a cuppa as it loads, and enjoy the view on landing. Regards Charl
