Just as an addon to the above post..... :sleepy: if you are all still awake.. There is an additional bug if you run multiple monitors in full screen mode under Vista for any application not specifically for FSX. Sometimes the monitors go into a black/white 'flicker' mode and the only way to get out of it was to alt-enter to windowed mode and back again. There is a fix for this from microsoft and it is a vista fix and not an FSX fix. So if you are experiencing the multi-monitor flicker problem under Vista with any app full screen, try the hot fix which can be found ........ HERE

The fs9.cfg will just regenerate on next (FS) startup after being deleted (you will lose all your settings though) - its interesting that solved your problem. Alex

Hi There Alex. I have saitek pedals.....and they are simply awesome! good choice. First off follow Craig's instructions. Then, if you still have this problem, increase the sensitivies. I had the same problem, but this fixed it. If your still having issues after trying this try get me on MSN, and I'll talk you through my settings for the pedals. :)

Thanks for the feedback guys. I caught up with a workmate and he advised he has also had a 747 spitting lead. That'd get ATC's attention I'm picking. AVSIM have a few things in the downloads for CFS. I must dust off my copy of Combat.

Is the chopper the default or the dodosim206 in fsx ?as that is the clasic sign of that aircraft that just spins outta control ,the fix for that was rudder and axisbrake assignments or something along those lines ,but all choppers on different settings will react in different ways,in saying that i never had a problem even after put another cfg thats avalible from hovercontrol.com fsxbell CFG dynmics check it out

I have a 2.2GHz Celaron Processer, and its rubbish. I never hit more than 20FPS and get loads of blurries when flying fast aircraft. I've tried upgrading my video card lots of times, but at the end of the day, my processer couldn't handle high end graphic hardware. and runs on a 2.0 GHZ Intel Celeron Pentium 4 processor? A Celaron and Pentium in one? Checked to see your reaction ;)

I don't have any experience overclocking brand name boxes, but I suspect that they are deliberately not overclock friendly, i.e. the BIOS may not allow the necessary changes, or may greatly restrict them. Overclockers build systems around motherboards that are designed with overclocking in mind, and allow fine adjustments of a number of different parameters. Anyway, the first thing we need to know is exactly what model processor is in your computer? At 3GHz, I'm guessing it's an Intel Pentium. For Intel processors you can use the Intel Processor Identification Utility from here...

The seek times may not be comparable, as the single 160 GB drive is not exactly the same model as my drives, and I have a feeling my drives may have a slightly longer seek time - a low seek noise trade-off. I think you are correct about seek time being important with lots of small reads. Win XP will only load 3rd party drivers from a floppy during the early part of the install (where you get the press F6 to install 3rd party drivers message - thus the "F6" floppy). It will not load said drivers from any other media.

I think you should get an upgrade kit if you are going to want a graphics card. PCI will not boos your performance enough to play flight simulator. Here is one , it is not the best but pretty bang for buck, dual core cpu which is good. This is also a good one. If you do decide to get an upgrade kit then i would suggest getting one with a 7600gs or higher. Or a Radeon X1700 or higher(sorry don't know much about ati) If you have a couple hundred to spare then an upgrade box is the way to go!!!

I wouldn't give you tuppence for xtra,We have been with Xnet(World Exchange) for 3 years now on dial up and never been disconnected once in that time. The tolls are cheaper and we only pay $8.75 per month unlimited a month. The exchange here in Waihi is like every other exchange, very overloaded.Their broadband also appears to be a little cheaper. If you want to check it out just go to home
