I'm about a month away from starting my PPL(H) followed by CPL(H) and hope to use FSX and VLC to my full advantage, can't wait to begin flying to get a few procedures sorted so I can practise them in the evenings, gonna be a huge help! Good advetising pitch, well written!

I used to fly from Alex to Dunedin on the Mt Cook Norman Islander. Now I do it on FSX. VLC has definately made the trip more interesting. Anything you do is an improvement on fsx. Thanks Ian and Kade. Trev

Just an update to this, Sugarloaf radio tower is now correctly placed as of the V1.01 patch. Wigram still exists but may be sorted in an optional airfield update (optional as some users will want to keep the airfield active)

Well, despite me thinking I removed all possible other AFCADS / Flattens e.t.c, it looks as if there was one still in my scenery/world/scenery folder. Not one I had created and had a code like file name, the only reason I found it was I resorted to going through a trial and error process with all my scenery. But anyways the issues is resolved on my end. Thanks for your help.

It will also have something to do with your monitor resolution. The small part reject thing is the amount of pixels it takes up before it isn't rendered. So since the default value is 2, if the object is taking up less than 2 pixels on your screen, it will not be rendered. The value can go from 1-10. Mine was at 4 and AI aircraft only rendered at .3 miles, I have but it back to default and now the render at 1.1 miles. Also, if your screen resolution is higher they render further out because there are more pixels.

Actually, there's an Aviemore Dam over at Snowman's site , for FS2004 but works well in FSX.

Hi Guys, Found my problem. I had the two sceneries too far down the list in the scenery library. Now I can see everything as it should be. FSX must be sensitive to the positions in the list Thanks Dave J

Just noted that Hokitika will now get Bombardier Q300 flights...and so will Paraparaumu later in the year (another Realnz airport)
