I remember those days. I was just a young fella. in retrospect though, 10 years ago, everyone was developing flight sims, civil and combat, the last 5 or more there's only been a couple of civil sims and its like the development of civil flightsims has been in slow motion, getting left behind in the dust compared to modern pc and console games in terms of taking advantage of modern computing power.

QUOTE (frostynz @ Aug 8 2010, 11:28 PM) Hi There, I am most impressed by what I have seen of the screenshots. Just 2 quick questions:- 1. will this software fix things such as silly houses positioned around the perimeter of Auckland Airport etc? 2. Does this title incorporate many of the features of the 'Auckland Super City for FSX' title?, or is this a completely seperate piece of software? Thanks Dave 1) It will 2) No, completely different but as time goes on, the idea is to build apon the base that VLC provides by adding landmark buildings etc /smile.gif style=...

Wow....looks like you've taken some actual aerial pics of Lake Mahinerangi! Can remember going fishing up there a few years back, dig out a big fat Mahinerangi worm for the hook, catch some mean trout and perch! Oh, and lying back waiting for some bites, snoozing and being waken by the early afternoon Freedom Air flight arriving from Oz as it's about to enter the valley on it's approach! Good times....and bought back to life by the wonderful world of FS! /happy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= ^_^ border= 0 alt= happy.gif />

QUOTE (AndrewJamez @ Jul 24 2010, 01:12 PM) Do you mean the real world weather setting in FSX? I am using the REX weather engine and seems pretty good. What are your guys experience with that v's fsx real world weather? Indeed , I normally run real world weather , since REX is installed it will use those cloud textures , i think the REX program expanse the features with a higher res cloud photo , you still can get amazing shots using the default , simply the add-on makes it so much easier and more dynamic .

QUOTE (AndrewJamez @ Jul 5 2010, 02:21 AM) Hi there, if you have not moved to FSX all ready then when you do you will finally realise what you have being missing out on. And you will probably need a new computor to realise this. Computors are dirt cheap now for the power they put out, there has never being a better time to upgrade and you wont have to spend a fortune to get something that will run FSX well. I disagree with what you said about FSX not looking "Natural". The newer payware aircraft look 100 times more realistic than that of FS9. Just look at the new carenado...
