Nice Photo Gavin ! Mmm Mr Bob Mcgearys ? .. bracing wires i help make there , they were tested to 1.1 tonne stress break point , well above required level , 28 of this type ever built , 8 or so ended up in this country and probally 2 or 3 in flying condition now , part s are scatted all over Canterbury one in museum in Geraldine i think , idea to have interchangable wings in case of an accident , incidently a 3 seater /biggrin.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :D border= 0 alt= biggrin.gif /> guess i'd better get the magazine .

Some extraordinary photos there , one other was a view across Wellington harbour .. the sea was a mill pond and across were the two lines generated by the wingtips .

History? Where do I start! Service with the RAF, Israelis, Italians and Burma, check out Brendon's site for a full history of this amazing machine. Factory fresh is about right! Even the reflector gunsight is working!

Try resizing them down to 800 pixels wide in a photoshop like program, or selecting the '800x600' in the 'reduce to' box under the main uploader in photobucket.

QUOTE (FlyingKiwi @ Feb 23 2009, 11:48 AM) Yeah Jetphotos is a great site, and there are many excellent photos there that you won't see on any other sites. each spotters website has exclusive, interesting photos which you can't see on other))) so for the best result-surf them all /biggrin.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :D border= 0 alt= biggrin.gif /> still you can found boring photos at anet, jp, because many depends on screeners(probably each 2 my photos on anet/jp were rejected, and without any changes i reupload same photo again-and miracle-its accepted...

A blackhawk you reckon. She would rip the poor old 172 to bits /laugh.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= laugh.gif /> They do wack some versions of the Rolls Royce 250 series into 206s, 207s and 210s. Same engine (well basically but not exactly) as the jet ranger and hughes 500. Thats a tiny little turbine. Tis also on the Nomad and the Valcanair Aviator. I think it was soloy (who do the 206/7 conversions) who tested the turbine setup using a C185, which is essentially a 172 airframe. The thing is with these diesels running off JetA is that avgas is becoming harder...
