Mmm wouldn't Kirk's Sabre look good in that scheme ;) On which subject, feels like just the other day I painted this one up - Bay Flight clearly getting a little expansionist... Good painter's pose there Jon.

Cargolux are pretty good for producing rather average landings too. That said, I can't exactly criticise a 744 pilot on his landing technique. :P

This is a bit unrelated, but I thought I would post anyway... This video shows clips of planes "landing' at Wellington in crosswinds... Not all but most are at WN. WN Crosswinds

I'm pretty sure ZK-DCM is the ex Civil Aviation Flight one. They used to operate this and a Friendship - based at Paraparaumu.

OK all you Airbus bashers...get up close to an A330 and see why it's in a class of its own. It's all about smoothing the airflow. :ph43r:

When I was there it wasnt that long, the reason they use different vectors, is some Tail-draggers have very little/no crosswind ability... and a lot of old tail draggers fly out of Omaka

Ah heheh, yeah I think I know who you are, seen you hanging out at NAC from time to time. I'm Brock BTW. Been flying since Feb 06, in ETU then RJE/F. You probably haven't seen me there, I'm not flying as much as I'd like :(

I believe it was an aircraft prepped for sale, then that fell through and capacity required a quick reentry? It could be the 762 now parked up as the fire aircraft, not sure.
